It was great experience staying in this really nice private B&B accommodation. It has perfect location in beautiful, safe and quiet living area of Playa del Carmen. It is 250-300 m only to nice beach & only 800 m to ADO bus Station on 5th Avenida. Another hightlight of this property is the owner – Cecile. She is very nice Canadian lady, very kind and helpful. Her breakfast is continental, but very good (in a kind and pleasant atmosphere as all the house) – fresh fruits, juice, coffee, toasts, yogurt etc. Our room was the smaller one, but it was clean and had all what we needed for our short 1 week stay. We have enjoyed our stay very much & can highly recommend it .

Perfect location in the most beautiful area of Playa del Carmen- Playacar. Close (literally 7-10 min walk) to stunning sea and a long stretch of white sandy beach as well as to 5th Avenue with shops, bars and restaurants. Cosy traditional house overlooking lush golf course with spacious rooms,large comfortable beds and cushy pillows. Hot water shower with great pressure. Strong wi-fi in all areas including lovely outside terrace. Good light continental breakfast to start the day. And last but not the least – the super host Cecile. Friendly, accommodating, massively helpful, who will go out her way to make your stay in her house truly special.

Casa Mi Tesoro just a great place to stay in Playa del Carmen. Villa locates in a secured area Playacar and has a lot of amenities such as a great pool area, 5 minutes walking distance to the beautiful beach and tons of delicious restaurants around. Cecile is an awesome host! We had a pleasure to stay in her place those unforgettable few days in Playa!

Delicious breakfast, clean rooms, nice location, perfect swimming pool, but overall the hospitality of Cecile was magnificant, taking care of us from the first day until the last day making us feel like we were at home. Good location, near all the restaurants and shops. It’s about a 5 min walk to the beach and a 5-10 min drive to Xcaret which is great. Rooms are very clean and organized. Staff is very friendly and helpful, very fast check-in.

Brand new hotel with comfortable and big room. Close enough to the 5th Ave and still far for the music and noise of the main Street won’t bother. Only 9 min walking easily to Coco bongo. Absolutely the worst service ever! We booked a King size bed and were downgraded (paying the same) to, a way smaller, double bed. They didn’t even care!! We then talked to booking.com which in turn called them and got a promise from them to upgrade us back, but they actually didn’t keep that promise on the reception!! They play dirty games, and we were actually honeymooning! Stay out of this, trust me.

Very comfortable hotel situated just 2 mins from 5th Ave and 5 mins to the beach. We arrived early so our room wasn’t available but they took the initiative to upgrade us to a room that was available so that we could settle in straight away. We really appreciated the gesture because we had just completed a very long flight.

The swimming pool was small but enough and clean. The supermarket and bus station were really nearby the hotel.

Location was good, close to 5th avenue but far enough away that it is quite, short walk to beach and Walmart. Rooftop pool is small but nice to cool off from a day in the sun.

The only positive there was a friendly lady at the reception.

Second time in this hotel for and I think it will be my hotel for spend a my Saturday’s nights in Playa del Carmen . We booked a room for two (first time in this hotel we were a group of 6) and also this time we had a great time . Room with two double beds, little kitchen ñ, balcony,very nice toilet . The position of the hotel is excellent and akways rapport quality/price very good!We will definitely back !

I booked this room with a group of friends, we were in 6, the room has been the perfect solution for us with the hotel in a perfect position close to the Movida of Playa del Carmen . The room was new, good AC and Wifi, small kitchen with kitchen tools, good bathroom with a massive shower . It’s not a very big space for 6 people if you are considering a long stay but for a short stay could be a very good solution . Rapport quality/price very good !

Honestly , the pictures are false advertisement , i will from now on be very cautious when reserving a hotel online … the images are extremely deceitful ! Was NOT what I paid for nor what was advertised … rooms are dirty, were never cleaned during our 3 night 4 day stay , very outdated, pool very dirty looked like there was some kind of fungus growing in there , towels and bedding stinky !! would NEVER go back!!! !Although I do have to say, the lady at the front desk was very kind ! That was the only good thing about the stay there , price is ridiculously insane for what we got!

Room is well furnished and very spacious and comfortable. Bed is huge and very nice. Pool and Jacuzzi are fine and not crowded and towels are unlimitted Location is very near Av 5 which is the main pedestrian street. The see is a block away but beach is very dirty.

Awesome location right in downtown Playa del carmen, yet on a quiet street. Hotel is very quiet and facilities definitely worth the money. The penthouse with three bedrooms is actually its own little house with 4 stories, two living rooms and its ownjaccuzi on its private roof deck…. pretty swanky

The condo was beautiful. The beds wonderful and the air conditioning fantastic!!! We loved the location and were able to walk to everything easily. The staff was very helpful and assisted us with transfers and activities. We choose to walk a bit further for the breakfasts at the Indigo Beach and it was well worth it with the service, food and spectacular views. We will certaninly want to come back.

Wonderfully staff always eager to help with a smile. The bell boys specially Jorge and Javier were extremely helpful. We aske for any type of questions and they’re knew the answers. Food was perfect. They catered for any body from different regions. Top restaurants …. hard to choose. The Mexican gourmet excellent and delicious, the Italian and French were also excellent the presentation and food hard to rate too good.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were made very welcome. Room was spotless but a little basic. The property is spread out down to the beach but there is an excellent regular buggy service. And we were 50 yards from the beach and right next to the pool anyway. Themed activities on the beach every day and a great show at night. The food was excellent in the main with a couple of exceptions. All in all an amazing trip.

Overall we had a nice holiday at this resort. The staff was friendly and attentive most of the time. We very much enjoyed our dinner at the French, Asian and Brazilian restaurant. The room was just as the online pictures. We stayed on the main floor near the pools and restaurants. The beach and the warm ocean is beautiful, the sport activity staff is friendly and is nice to have the different daily beach activates. The food is great and safe. Over all I would recommend this resort. We had some problem with the room, they did not move us. But after we arrived home I received a letter from their general manager apologizing for the incident and reassuring that they will make changes so they provide better service in the future. I thought that was a nice gesture I hope they do follow through and ensure that every guest has the same experience regardless which level and building they stay at the resort.

Some of the servers in the restaurants were really nice.

The room was fine – typical of what you can expect from an all inclusive. Bed and pillows all comfortable and good sized room. Food at the main buffet restaurant was pretty good. Other staff members on the resort were great (besides the front desk staff).

The hotel is so big there is no friendly customer service. The staff at the front desk have queues all day and night and look stressed. Although they are reasonably helpful if you ask. No mention of the genius perk drink on arrival. The food was great, the room was great and the beach was amazing

The Thompson Hotel is centrally located in PDC and a quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The property itself was clean, fun, the room spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the rooftop pool, bar and dining was AWESOME. I don’t travel to many places twice b/c there is so much to see in the world however I would absolutely stay again at the Thompson in Playa Del Carmen.

Very well designed, but extremely overpriced. Cocktails and food is x2 everywhere else we went to. There’s A LOT of noise from the street and clubs (we stayed in a "quiet room")! The service is generally good, except the reception, which was sometimes good and sometimes awful. For example, they didn’t want to keep our extra bag while we were going on an attraction on the same day we checked out, which was quite rude, considering every other hotel would do that.

The condo was very comfortable. It was a 1 bedroom with living room and kitchen. Patio area that had a hammick. The bedroom was very large for 1 person. Closet space was nice.

Excellent location very close to the 5th avenue, beach and Ferry. Staff was very helpful at all times. Housekeeping kept our room so cozy.. we really felt like being home. The restaurant food is amazing… we pay about $6.50 for breakfast that included eggs, ham, pancake, fruit, coffee and juice. The owner was very attentive and courteous with us. Loved their pool area, decorations, etc. We are definetley coming back soon.

I like this hotel. Very artistic and unique. Connected restaurant is very good.

Wi-di did not always work in the room, and only consistently in some of the public areas of the hotel, so the room, when lacking wi-for and having no tv or radio were less than I was used to having. But the restaurant in the hotel was okay and there was a tv and wi-go connection there. Being a few blocks walk to downtown and then only a couple more to the beach was nice. There was a large enough pool to actually swim a little in.

I know I ordered a room with AC, paid for a room with AC, but they said I didn’t. I’ll be staying there again from 11/1-11/2 so I better have a room with AC because I know I wouldn’t have reserved one without it. I’ve stayed in Playa before and this is an essential for me.

Being a smaller property compared to other all-inclusives I have been to, this one had excellent food and the staff were all VERY friendly and helpful. It was nice not to have to go on a hike anytime you wanted to eat or do anything. It is also only a walk to shopping. One of us went out deep sea fishing and caught some beautiful Mahi and the chef was more than happy to cook it up for us. Delicious! Also the Mexican Restaurant, Maria’s had possibly the best tenderloin I have ever eaten. The spot is nice and breezy, which helps keep the mosquito population down. The pool activities were a blast, and they keep the drinks coming. I noticed that there were a lot of activities for the children and arts and crafts. The whole experience was top shelf.
