Why use EQAIA as an abbreviation?
During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to East Quarter Apartments in Amsterdam (36 characters long, including blanks) as EQAIA (5 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:
- We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
- We’re lazy and EQAIA is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
- We save 31 characters every time we do this
So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to EQAIA throughout the remainder of this review.
Also, we’ll sometimes use EQAIA25346 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

And now, let the questions begin…
Is East Quarter Apartments in a good location in Amsterdam for you?
Where you want to be located in Amsterdam is one of the most important questions for you to answer.
Of course, it all depends on why you’ll be in Amsterdam in the first place, and whether the location of EQAIA will be helpful to you or not.
For example, are you traveling to Amsterdam for business or pleasure? Visiting friends or family there? Simply want to soak up the sights and attractions?
It’s very simple: decide what you want to actually accomplish (what you want to see or do) in Amsterdam. And then decide whether East Quarter Apartments’s location is a benefit for that or not.
Does East Quarter Apartments have a pool?
An indoor pool or outdoor pool (or even super swanky rooftop pool) might or might not be important to you, depending on how you’re planning to spend your time in Amsterdam and who you’re traveling with.
For example, if you’re traveling by yourself on business, it might not be important at all, but if you’re traveling to Amsterdam with friends, family, or children, and you think you’d enjoy relaxing by the pool at EQAIA, it might be an important consideration whether there is an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, whether it’s heated or not and has a pool bar or not, and so on.
If a pool is very important for your stay, THG recommends that you do a specific search for the best deals on Amsterdam hotels with pools.
Does East Quarter Apartments have a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, spa, or spa tub?

Does East Quarter Apartments have enough beds for you?
If you’re staying at EQAIA with multiple people, this answer is important, because a single twin bed, double bed, queen bed, or king bed is fine if you’re on your own, but if there are others you’d rather not share a bed with, it’s worth checking whether you’ll have a couple double beds or queen sized beds for the sleeping arrangements, or perhaps even a double sofa that you can pull out and make into an extra bed.
Does East Quarter Apartments have good food options?

Brief reviews (in English and other languages)
The apartment was beautiful and extremely spacious! In a beautiful location, it was so perfect!
Everything was great. The apartments were clean & very well decorated. Access to trams great. The supermarkets are plentiful & the extra added bonus of a street market too. Area was beautiful and clean.
Nice layout of apartment, 2 bathrooms with two showers. Lots of space. Beds were comfy and staff were friendly
We have stayed at East Quarter two times this year. First in Apt 3, second in Apt 11. The location is very convenient if you do not wish to be in the city centre. The tram takes about 20 mins to city centre and the train from Muiderport takes about 5. Easy to get to other places (i.e. out of Amsterdam) from Muiderport. All in all, the apartments are well fitted out.
Bed was extra comfortable washing up facilities good to have and biscuits excellent!!
comfort, professional staff, good location and connection with public transport
Absolutly everything… great location, nice place, close to everything, well equiped…. just great
Kitchen, koffee machine, soft and comfortable bad, clean and tidy room. The appartment is in extremely quiet place 5 min from the park. The tram stop is 100m away and it goes through the old city centre to the central train station. But for us it was nice to take a walk there (30-40 min walk to madame Tussaud or Van Gogh museum).
The location is great. You can travel anywhere by tram. The train station is also near and therefore you can go to Amsterdam Central and Schiphol Airport in no time. The surrounding is very quiet and there’s a lot of nearby groceries. Perfect location for families!
