Very good location, easy access to the major shopping area and the Gion-shijo metro station, and many restaurant nearby. The hotel staff are all kind and very helpful, shows the professional attitude to us. The view from the window of the lower floor is fantastic.

Amazing view from the windows to the river. The host is very friendly and welcoming. Tatami beds are awesome sleeping experience. Way better than a conventional bed.

This is awesome home in Kyoto! Misato was such a good host and booked our restaurants and was easy to contact with our mobile phones , as they don’t have a phone in the house.

We were warmly greeted at the property on arrival. It comfortably accommodated our family of four, with two upstairs and two down, and good bathrooms on each level. Additional bonus was the separate lounge room. The location is perfect for Kyoto and very peaceful.

Excellent location close to Shijo Street, the main east-west road. Close to lots of buses as well as the main pedestrian shopping district and many restaurants. Five minute walk to Gion. Easy to get to all the sights we wanted. Well designed one bedroom townhouse with patio doors opening over a small river (insect screens fitted). Cleverly designed to maximise the space available, which is ample, and well fitted out and comfortable.

Very comfortable townhouse, nice decoration, relatively easy access. Amazing service and very polite staff. Helped us with all the restaurant reservations.

Beautiful house in traditional style. Tons of space. Check in and out was so easy.

Getting a taste of living in a traditional Japanese home but with modern amenities, excellent location!

Here I will describe the apartments located on 17, Lesi Ukrainki blvd. 1) Good location – just in few minutes from ‘Pecherska’ metro station that is not far from the city center; an interesting sight – Kyiv Fortress is located very close; 2) Normal sound insulation + you have an internal door; 3) Nice bathroom with big bath; 3) All necessary facilities can be found in the apartments (iron, iron-desk, washing machine, conditioner, wi-fi etc.); 4) Nice kitchen with gas-stove, microwave, tea-pot and dishes); 5) Electronic lock on the main door; 6) We stayed in January, but it was very warm inside the flat.

The hostel was ready for us on arrival although they did then tell booking.com that we hadn’t arrived for our stay. The beds were comfortable enough and there was enough space for the six of us in our room.

The apartment was clean and tidy and good value for what we paid.

The overall experience was very pleasant! The staff is very helpful. Most of them can speak English and it’s very useful. Quite a few nearby Halal restaurant (walking distance). Not too far from Taojin Metro as well. Muslim traveler can just take the metro from Taojin to Xiaobei Rd if they want more Halal food options. The room was cosy and it’s worth every penny. I will definitely stay here again.

Japanese style breakfast spread was excellent. Staff was efficient & friendly. Location was excellent, 3 mins walk to Kyoto train & bus station. Wife loved the on-site onsen.

Great Stay. The room i got was nice sized. Hot spring was a plus to the hotel stay. Right across from the main train station. Excellent location! Hotel staffs speak multi-language, a plus for the tourists.

The main advantage of the Dormy is the location opposite Kyoto Station. The excellent rooftop Onsen, with both indoor and open air heated baths is a great differentiator with what is otherwise a medium level 3 star hotel. Everything else is to be expected.

Location excellent for 1st time tourists to Japan. Diagonally across 3 mins walk from Kyoto Train station where JR and Tourist Information offices are located. Hot springs is a boost. Buffet breakfast is great introduction to Japanese food.

The hotel’s location is good – opposite Kyoto station. It was easy to travel both outside the Kyoto and inside the city.

Well managed, modern hotel close to Kyoto station, full of little details that’s make your stay that much more pleasant. Highly recommended. Great free soup kitchen, lovely onsen, and much more! Only a short walk from Kyoto station.

Fantastic location , close to train station. Easy walk with bags . Very helpful staff . Here for two night as found it fantastic. Onsen (hot spa ) really nice experience. Please read up on the process of using it. As I find visitors talk in the spa and it is a place to relax and gather your thoughts. Chinese people have no respect for this. Look up how to use on google before going and will love the experience.

It is surprising me that room space is bigger than orther Japan room and Kyoto station just in 5 minutes walking distance. The most amazing is that provides free Ramen between 9 to 11 pm . High CP and will definitely visit again.

Just perfect (OK the charm of Kyoto is certainly influencing the remark) and nicely situated. Friendly staff.

The staff were so obliging, really helpful with recommendations for restaurants and how best to travel around Kyoto. Excellent English skills too.

The facility is great especially the onsen, the location is strategic as well

Upon arrival we were greeted by the nicest hotel workers which continued throughout our stay. They even took our picture then put it in a card wishing us a happy honeymoon with a bottle of champagne! The staff are incredibly friendly and the Japanese style room was beautiful. A great ryokan experience in the heart of Gion.

The property has a great location in the middle of the traditional gion district. It’s located near the Yasaka shrine which is beautiful to walk around at night. the staff was really friendly and helpful. Near the Yasaka Shrine was a bus stop, from there you can get around Kyoto. Next time we will book this property again.

Nice and quiet location, traditional house, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was no breakfast, but basic kitchen facilities to make tea or cook breakfast. There were restaurants, shops ect nearby.

The owners were very nice and the location was awesome. Bed was fine and the guest house had everything I needed. Very happy with my stay.

Great location, very near the best French bakery in Kyoto and also in a quiet neighborhood but quite near to to some major sights such as Heian Jingu. Nice Japanese style room and futon.

The location is absolutely amazing – a little old street near the river within an easy walk of all the best parts of old Kyoto. The owner is lovely and very helpful. The place is very clean and a nice taste of traditional Japanese guest house.

Really comfortable single room, with its own AC and a warm bed. Very clean restrooms.

I stayed in a small, but very cosy japanese style room, just next to the inner garden of the house. It was very tranquille experience. Also the area around was peaceful and with the atmosphere of old Kyoto. The owner allowed early check-in and gave me useful sightseeing tips.

Very good breakfast freshly made by the host and personalized to the type and time needed. Ron was very good in communication and friendly.

convenience of location near to train station and subway. Reception very helpful

Clean, walkable distance to the central railway station (less than one km), large compared to the Japanese standards. The kitchen is not provided with pots and plates. You can rent a kit at the reception, which is attended only from 9 to 11 AM. However, unless you want to cook by yourself, the takeaway meals you can buy at the near 24/7 supermarket always come with chop-sticks and containers you can easily put in the microwave. They do not clean the apartment during your stay, but clean towels are available all the time at the entrance. The neighborhood is beautiful: quite and residential with small shops and public services (public bath, laundry, local bakery, etc.), though is close to most of the touristic points of interest. It is well served by public transports, you can reach Gion with a 20-min-walk along the river.

We loved the space of the apartment and the clothes washing machine. We liked where the apartment was in Kyoto, close to the train station and within walking distance of temples. Close to shops and restaurants. The hosts were very helpful.

There are many good local restaurance near hotel. Good bus to bring guest to airport.

Location was great, just across the road from the Myeongdong shopping district. So great access to shops and restaurants but quiet from the bustling streets. Also just down the road from the N Seoul Tower cable car. The staff were friendly and the rooms were light, spacious and new! The air con was amazing!

The staff was awesome and truly made an efort fo make us feel welcomed and confortable. The hostel is charming and you feel a great sense of community coming from the staff and visitors.

Easy to get in touch with the apartment staff. They immediately respond or reply to your emails. It was raining and cold when we arrived in Krakow in the afternoon of April 28 but the beautiful girl (I’m so sorry we forgot your name my dear young lady) waited for us outside the building just to assure us that we get the key to the apartment. Most of all the staff are very responsible, friendly and helpful.

Solid value in a good location. The breakfast choices were excellent. Nice large bathroom. Very quiet. Liked the neighborhood for walking with good eating options. I stayed in another Vienna hotel during this time frame, giving a good comparison, and Erzherzog Rainer was by far a better value.

The beds are the comfiest I’ve ever had at a hotel. Lovely and quiet despite being in the centre of the hustle and bustle. Very relaxing and lovely rooms.

Breakfast was perfect. Concierge were attentive and helpful.

Large comfortable room the kitchen area was a bonus the bathroom was huge.

The room was even nicer than the photos, modern, beautifully decorated and cared for, comfortable bed, spacious, great view from the window. It’s right in the centre and couple of minutes walk from the tram stop, to continue up the road it goes up to the upper town. Irena gave us lots of information about Zagreb and emailed me quickly about how to arrive from the bus terminal. Zagreb was a real delight, it has a great feel to it and I would return to Zagreb and Rooms 17 tomorrow!

Very clean and up-to-date facilities with charging spots at bed side. Very high tech style and excellent food.

Fantastic stuff, very comfortable and modern rooms. TV with +100 channels, thick carpets on the floor….. I plan to come back there.

The staff were amazing, the property was excellent, so comfy and really a nice experience of a traditional Japanese home. The area was quiet and there was lots to do. We made a silly mistake and went to the property first instead of to the office to pick up the keys, the staff were incredible, they let us check in an hour early and even drove us to the property and paid our taxi fare from the property to the office. It was totally our mistake but they were so lovely and made it so easy for us.

This Villa was a delight. Gave the family a real taste of Japanese life including the futon beds. Fantastic location, very quiet street and just a short walk to the Gion district. Close to many restaurants,bars, shops,public transport and major tourist attractions (shrines and temples). Close by railway station and bus stops. Highly recommended

reception, despite it is far away from the property, was very helpful. They kindly accepted our luggage sent by post and brought us from reception to the property by car. The villa is clean and cosy. Well equipped.

The yucata robes were a nice touch, Nespresso coffee, washing machine and dryer, nice bath (once you figure out how to fill it). walking distance to trains and numerous buses, to Gion, temples, downtown

Nice decorations, excellent location for Geisha district and downtown Kyoto, comfortable.

A walking distance from the train station. The suite was amazing and offered all the perks and accessories to make our Honeymoon in Kyoto perfect!

The room is nicely furnished in Japanese style. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

1. Room relatively new. 2. Location relatively convenient.

Comfortable bed and the few hotels that actually provide good pillows. Separating toilets and bsthing area is an excellent idea. An ideal location to use as a base while you spook out to visit nearby city such as Osaka and Nara. No crazy traffic to beat but a short work to the train station and you could be anywhere.

The premium twin room was beautiful. Modern but elegantly Japanese.

Best location in Kyoto, 2 mins walk from the station and main bus stop; Staffs are very friendly and helpful, this is standard culture across over the whole Japan; Breakfast has a very good range between western and Japanese foods; Bottle of water provided everyday, which helps a lot iduring hot weather; They offer a free smart phone for their customers to make international call; Facilities in barth room are fully equipped with a morden 4 star hotel standard although the room space is very limited; Many restaurants and shops are nearby.

It is close to thr station but no noise. Being near the station it enables you to commute anywhere in this lovely city.

Staff at reception and concierge were great and the new rooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms. The convenience of being next to the train station. The bed was also excellent.

Mrs Gladys she was amazing and helped us with everything that we need AND she is GREAT
