Brian and Anne is very friendly and helpful. They make the stay worthwhile. The train station is within walking distance as well.
I really enjoyed my stay at Bunk Guesthouse. It’s located in a rather calm part of Hongdae (awesome area!). But there are many shops and restaurants right around the corner. The 4-bed-dorm I stayed in was spacious enough and the bed very comfy. And Brian is a super host.
The location is really unbeatable, its less than 5 min walk away from the airport line subway exit, around 8
10 min from the green line (line 2), and seconds away from hundreds of restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores, convenience store, bars, and clubs. All of this withing walking distance, but because of the street the hostel is in, you are able to enjoy a noiseless sleep. The beds are wider than usual for Seoul. The mattresses are very comfortable and the sheets were always clean. There is 3 common areas in common, the kitchen area, the patio, and the rooftop. Lastly, the host is THE BEST. He is very helpful, and will assist you with anything you might need, whether it’s giving you extra blankets, ordering food, finding a place, or helping book tours and tickets.
Location is nice, close to train station and shops. Room is comfortable and clean.

Brian is really friendly and helpful! The environment of Bunk guesthouse is so nice and is very near to Hongdae shopping street!! Somemore, it’s also near to the subway station and quite easy for us to visit to others places. I will miss here! Highly recommended to everyone who gonna to stay at Hongdae 🙂
Brian is an amazing host and the Bunk is extremely close to Hogdae train station, which puts the hostel in a strategic place, with easy access to go everywhere in Seoul. Within minutes we reached the main touristic spots!
I had an amazing time at the bunk guesthouse. The owner is very helpful and nice, always around or very responsive via phone. The bed was one of the most comfortable bunk beds I had in a while! Shared room was nice, but the privat rooms looked really nice! Big plus not only the perfect location (so many restaurants and bars and shops around) but also the roof top and the downstairs common areas. The breakfast is simple, just toast and coffee, I was missing eggs, which you get in most other South Korean hostels – however they serve noodles on weekends.
