Great located hostel, about a 5 minute walk from the metro station (hongik university, line 2 from memory) and a short walk (maybe 10 – 15 min??? You get used to walking everywhere in korea it’s hard to say!) to Main strip of street/s in Hongdae. Owner Brian and his wife Jina are super nice and helpful with maps and tips on where to eat and things to do in the area. Stayed in female dorm which was comfortable with nice modern /clean bathroom. Not a party hostel (quite after 11pm) but the other travelers staying were appy to have a chat and friendly and open to hanging out etc Breakfast was nice and easy from 8 to 11 (toast, condiments, cereal, brewed or instant coffee etc).
The best hostel in Seoul in my opinion. Should give it a try.

Hostel owners are so friendly and kind, you gonna feel comfortable. Hostel close to underground station but little far from the center.
I really enjoyed my stay ZZZip Guesthouse. I was travelling alone but I was immediately surrounded by good company. The place itself is kept very clean, has nice facilities to sleep, shower etc. and funky anime and picture decorations with plenty of tour guide books if you’re in need in inspiration. The location is really ideal, very close to public transport and less than 10 minute walk from the centre of Hongdae (or the YG Entertainment HQ if that’s your thing). There’s a free breakfast in the morning, plus Brian and Jina are very friendly and happy to give you advice on what to do and how to get there. Would definitely recommend!
Brian and Gina were the best hosts I have ever met. They were great at everything.
The people who own this hostel were so nice and even gave me and my friend Louisa a lift to the subway station with our bags! 100% stay here!
– beds were super comfy – clean, Power outlet and lamp was conveniently placed in your bunk – friendly staff
The location was very good, lots of restaurants nearby, close to st stephens cathedral, mozarthaus and other attractions. Room was clean and staff polite and helpful. Shower was strong and water hot which is what I like. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. All in all we had a wonderful stay to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. Will definitely recommend.
