I thought Main St in Fredericksburg was too expensive.
I thought Main St in Fredericksburg was too expensive. Most of the items we looked at were made in China and overpriced. We were disappointed in the items available and the prices.
I would have enjoyed seeing more of the town and learning more about the community.

Great town in the "Napa Valley" of Texas!
Great town in the "Napa Valley" of Texas! But just not Wine Country, Fredericksburg has so many things to do and great places to eat and drink. Early Texas and German culture mixed with a first-class atmosphere!

Great little German town in Texas!
Great little German town in Texas! Lots of shops with all kinds of items in downtown. Great food and lots of wineries in town and all around the area here if you are looking for wine selections. Easy to get to Fredricksburg from San Antonio and Austin and other cities nearby! Octoberfest was great and lots of food and fun for the family! Auslander's restaurant in downtown had great food! Walking around downtown is very easy and there is more parking on side streets and behind Main street for free! Go into town early to avoid the large crowds.

Fredricksburg is a gem.
Fredricksburg is a gem. Stay longer than a week to see everything! I highly recommend giving yourself a week and half to stay, minimum. I extended our stay twice just so we were satisfied we were able to do most things we wanted. We stayed 4 nights.Business hrs are inconvienient. Most businesses we wanted to visit were closed on Tues, some closed on Wed or had very weird hours. Parking and traffic on Main street really needs improvement. The traffic is fast, big trucks like to park on the passenger side of small cars so backing out is difficult because of how the thru traffic and parking is set up on Main esp around areas with many businesses. Noticed to most businesses are not set up for handicap access such as wheel chairs. There is handicap parking but entry doors for most are not set up for handicap and a lot of the stores, eateries a very crowded inside maing it hard to navigate a wheelchair inside. Plan a good budget, Fredicksburg tho worth it can be pricey if your on a small budget. When in Fredricksburg take time to drive out to Kerrville and see the Coming King prayer garden. Its worh driving 22 miles to see! Its free to visit and so worth the trip! Loved the farmers market. Plan a two day visit for the Pioneer and US Pacific museums. They are wonderful but more than one day is needed to see both. Everyone in the town is so freindly. We did not know Fredricksburg is kind of famous for their peaches. It would be nice to see advertising for that that. It would be a good draw for the town! Kudos to the parents who raise their kids there. Every young man or woman we encountered at businesses were very curteous! Also, it was nice that everyone everywhere in the businesses were friendly, on top of their game with their job and had good work ethics, everywhere, not just in the tourist part of town. Say's a lot about the local folks. Thank you Fredricksburg for the overall positive experience! A true Texas gem!
They were accommodating to pets without any additional fees. I liked they had a pool for relaxing in the evening after a day of wine tasting. And, for the number of times I locked myself out of my room, the front desk staff were friendly and hospital to make another key! Room was clean and comfortable. The Mexican restaurant next door was delicious. This was probably the best hotel of my cross country trip!
the location, amenities, free parking and general experience at the hotel was fantastic. However, upon getting ready to go out in the morning we discovered a cockroach in our room under the bed. This made us question the cleanliness of the hotel and put a damper on the experience.
Very well maintained remodeled small motel.
Shower was TINY. TV was small.
Bed was superb.
Coffee maker and refrigerator are available at a daily fee . I didn't need either.
Very limited parking. Close to city center. Great prices.
Will stay again.
The perfect hotel for a stay in Fredericksburg! Kind, friendly, attentive, down-to-earth staff (especially Erin, Frank, and Sherrie), ideal location, quiet, with a lovely porch with rocking chairs, and with easy access to the city center.
Breakfast was the best. They also have a Texas shaped waffle maker so you pour and make your own. Mine was great. Best pet friendly place in town and they usually don’t require a 2 night stay like many locations in Fredericksburg.
The ac was filthy we turned it on dust came out so much build up on the vents. The floors looked like my dog licked them clean I wouldn't recommend to anyone it's cheap but there's better hotels for cheaper
Room was very clean. It is comfortable. It is not fancy but everything worked. We were looking for a place to sleep as we were visiting family in ther area.
