Williamsburg was great! We drove around downtown, and went to Yorktown , and Jamestown also. Lots of history!!
We ate at the Roccos smokehouse, the collard greens are AMAZING,
We also ate at the colonial pancake house... Decent food, but Crazy expensive for breakfast. ($5,99 for 1 glass of OJ)
We hit up the outlet mall also, it was huge with LOTS of stores.
All in all... we had a great trip!

A lot of shops were closed at the market place and the restaurants were also closed or short staffed which made a lot of people mad after talking to them as we walked around Williamsburg. They advertised that the stores were open all year

It' a great place to visit to get a real feel for the 18th century. Re-enactors are professional and convincing. It gives life to a distant age. Instead of seeing just buildings, furnishings and museums, you see how folks lived at high and low levels of society. The authenticity makes for a very memorable experience. You can go time after time and see new activities and items. It never gets boring.

We enjoyed both the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The main reason for staying in Williamsburg was that we had purchased annual passes for Busch Gardens. We started and ended our 2023 Williamsburg travels with Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.
The Colonial Williamsburg visitor center was full of useful information. It also contained a large parking lot where you could catch a shuttle bus to many point around the Colonial Williamsburg area, including the Museum. Our family found the live character narratives to be quite informative concerning the history of Williamsburg and its place in US History.

Everything was just fine.
Everything was just fine. Except at Busch Gardens so many of the rides were not up and running and the main show GLORIA had technical difficulties and we were unable to see it. The train also had problems and we had to get off of it after waiting for 15 minutes for it to take off. I think Busch Garden charges too much for parking and for meals.

Williamsburg is such a treasure.
Williamsburg is such a treasure. SOOO many places to see and things to do, many which are free (e.g. walking around the Colonial area). There's tranquility if you want that, entertainment if you want that, shopping, spas, golfing, days worth of cultural activities, and HISTORY, HISTORY, HISTORY. We go every year during December to see all the beautiful, period-authentic decorations, and Grand Illuminations is not to be missed!
This is the nicest hotel we've been in, in quite awhile! Our expectations were dreadfully low because of our stay at HI Exp in Emporia, Va but this location in Williamsburg, Va was absolutely delightful! Very clean and in fact, it seemed brand new! Dreamy, perfectly comfortable bed and pillows. Delicious breakfast included in the room price. The suite was spotless and in neutral tones that were very calming. We will most definitely be back here!
The room was exactly what we were hoping for. Good size, and we really appreciated the kitchenette with microwave, sink, and fridge, it was even stocked with paper towels. Very little noise from other rooms. Breakfast was particularly excellent on the week days. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The discount on the room made it a reasonable value for the area. It was an easy drive to get from the hotel to downtown Williamsburg.
I have a small dog, & so I stayed in a room designated for pets. It was very clean & comfortable, something not quite achieved in some other "pet rooms" where I've stayed. Hotel staff members, including the cleaning people, were friendly & helpful. This hotel is an excellent value for people who want to tour historic Williamsburg.
What a lovely surprise to arrive at this location, in the beautiful woods just at the entrance to Colonial Williamsburg. It's a big family hotel, lots of amenities, friendly staff and just a perfect location for visiting the colonial town (accessible by foot via a foot bridge - even just to take a walk without a ticket).
Hotel is very clean, rooms are a good size and comfortable. There's a mini fridge and safe and each floor has a microwave for guests to use. Large indoor and outdoor pool and Close to Busch Gardens. Would absolutely be my 1st choice for accommodation next time I'm in Williamsburg.
The room was spacious enough for our family of 3. Comfortable beds and our room was nice and clean. Hotel was in the perfect location close to stores, shops, restaurants, and entertainment. I am a smoker so this hotel gave the option of a smoking room, which was great for me.
Great location near the attractions (especially Colonial Williamsburg). The campsite was very family friendly and the kids enjoyed the pool, the playground, and the game room. We enjoyed meeting other campers - so much more fun at the cabin than at a hotel!
We really liked the suite setup with the kitchen and living room. The customer service was efficient and warm. There was plenty of parking and it was a great location for Colonial Williamsburg and other destinations. You get a lot for the price!
The hotel was very clean and the rooms were huge! We were very comfortable and the location was perfect for a visit to Colonial Williamsburg and a day trip to DC. We had a blast! The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful!
We stayed in suite 317. The room was very spacious, clean, well equipped for cooking and the air conditioning was wonderful. When I travel to Williamsburg again I will stay here. And would love that same room 317.
We like the breakfast in the hotel, it's convenient. My son loves to make waffle by himself.
The room is pretty clean.
Location is good - near Colonial Williamsburg with several restaurants around the hotel.
Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent pancake house almost next door for breakfast/lunch. Very convenient location for historic Williamsburg sightseeing.
Staff was great rooms were clean. Very nice place to stay. My wife and I come to Williamsburg about twice a year and have stayed in a lot of different hotels. This is a great place
Friendly staff, clean accommodations, quiet hotel, nice Outside and inside, Felt peaceful and safe there, plenty Of room for my family of 4, really worth the money.
