Uniqueness. …… the history was fascinating and the place had been beautifully restored to what it must have been like in its heyday.
The bed was large and comfortable. The overall vibe of the hotel was cool – large stained glass / didn’t feel corporate at all, which is something we hoped to avoid. It was overall clean. The food is excellent. The young man working the graveyard shift almost made up for the disorganized and chaotic buzzing of other staff members but since the check in was so unnecessarily complicated I cannot rate the staff higher. It was ridiculous and stressful – and we used booking.com to streamline the room rate and check in process.
Location was excellent for exploring shanghai, the building was fabulous and the room was luxurious. The staff were great and really helpful, a huge breakfast selection was available too. I can’t fault our stay and would definitely recommend.
Unique building in built up area 😊 A very comfortable, relaxed stay. Very close to metro so easy to get around the city from here.
