It’s funny that the old lady (maybe the owner) didn’t check our passport and she just let us in the room without proper check-in, we paid when we left the property. It’s right in Ubud center, there are various shops and restaurants along the street. Cool entrance, my brother thought we walked into a temple. Very spacious room on the second floor, spacious beds, nice bathroom with great hot shower. Good breakfast (yummy banana pancake & omelet), breakfast was served on the balcony outside of our room.

Being one of those nagging vegans ;), I was pleasantly surprised that it was no problem for breakfast. And the taste was AWESOME! An airport transfer was arranged beforehand: it was very nice to not have to worry about such details. The people are the sweetest and the location is smack in the middle of town. If you fall over, you land in the Palace.
People who run Sadru House are very friendly and helpful. They organized for us transport from the airport to Ubud and made sure we had everything we needed. They prepared for us delicious breakfasts. The location of Sadru House is fantastic. It’s in the centre of Ubud but it’s very quiet (feels more like being in the countryside). At the same time you just go outside the property and have everything you want: restaurants, cafes, bars & shops. You can walk from there to visit touristic places in Ubud.

Sadru House is just a minute away from the main street where all the hustle and bussle is. The landlady and the rest of the staff were so lovely and helpful. The room is clean, spacious and it has a terrace. ( Every room has a private terrace.) I am coming back to Ubud in 10 days time and am staying here again. The staff speak enough English for you to get information you need, however if you need something more complex,sit down and make sure that they understand what you are asking them. I made a mistake of not checking EXACTLY where I am getting my transport from for Amed and therefore I missed it. Not their fault, but I should have made sure that I got all the info properly. I could not recommend this place enough.
