everything about Riad Shemsi was excellent. Authentic Moroccan architecture and design. Felt line you were going back in time but with modern flavour (like A.C., Electricity, etc ) the swimming pool was nice to relax in. The staff were genuinely welcoming and ready to assist. location was close to touristic areas within 5 min drive. I definitely will visit again.
The staff were exceptionally lovely and made our stay very easy.
Super welcoming staff, accommodated our gluten free needs, very relaxed pace to come back to after a busy hectic day (Jemaa el Fna & Souks only 15 min walk north), excellent views, great cafe (Cafe Clock) 1 min walk away, we felt very safe and well looked after. Abdul (night manager) and Noura (day manager) are both wonderful!
Beautiful building decorated in a traditional style. Loved the tranquil pool courtyard and fabulous wooden shutters. The roof terrace with magical views to the snowy Atlas mountains was a lovely spot for soaking up the sun. Staff were always available and ready to help in any way they could. Delicious simple breakfast with fresh orange juice. Also enjoyed a meal at the riad – lovely chicken tagine with preserved lemons and olives and the staff were happy to offer a vegetarian option for the non meat eater amongst us. All in all – a brilliant experience and great value for money!
