The staff were interested and very helpful. All spoke excellent English. We were greeted with a glass of port and custard tart on arrival. Interesting little shop in reception selling art materials and watches & jewellery. Rooms were clean, well planned and neat/small but everything was there. Lighting took a little time and glasses to sort out. Beds were soft and bed linen was of good quality. We had a little terrace and seating area outside. It was quiet at night. The breakfast was self serve and everything was good but disappointingly the coffee was from a machine. Hotel is old with lovely facade and is very well situated in city centre
Bacon was very streaky and greasy but apart from that the breakfast was excellent. Good buffet selection.
