Location is prime even though it’s on the 3rd floor with no elevator. However castle was built in 4th century sure there was no elevators at that time The apartment is very spacious with all required facilities
It is a very cute apartment in a wonderful location inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. Oliver met us as soon as we arrived and gave us all the necessary information.
This was a great place to stay in Split, Croatia. The apartment was within the palace walls and had so much character. It was very clean and very comfortable. The air conditioner kept the apartment comfortable even in the really hot weather. The owner sent Oliver to give us the keys. He was available any time we had questions about our apartment or Split. He responded to our needs or questions immediately. He also drove us to the airport when we left for a very reasonable fee. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Split.
Would definitely recommend a stay at Porta Aurea. Apartment is great. We were looked after brilliantly by Oliver. After falling prey to pickpockets on the busy Riva, Oliver went out of his way to assist me. I can’t thank him enough!

Excellent location and easy to locate -3 stops from station on number 6 tram then few steps back to locate street. Room was stylish and good size. Bed comfortable. Kitchen well equipped
