The room was really clean, the shower is amazing, the breakfast is ok, the location is in a safe neighborhood. The staff speak English fluently.
The bed was extremely comfortable – firm but not hard. Breakfast was adequate, fairly basic but plentiful and tasty. Front desk staff are very polite and spoke proficient English, which was a great help to someone with the most limited and rudimentary Portugese. The room was impeccably clean, although quite small. The location is quite vibrant and we didn’t feel unsafe. Some interesting places to eat in the area, too.

Fantastic staff who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean throughout. The room was modern, had a very comfortable bed, a great shower and air conditioning. Breakfast was awesome. So many things to choose from. I didn’t need food again until the evening. Good location, just a few minutes walk from Lago do Machado metro. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Plus the tourist info office in LdM square, laundrys, post office, gyms, shops, and the cinema. If I come back to Rio, the Petit Rio will be at the top of my list of places to stay.
This is a new hotel, comfortable and clean rooms, very good breakfast included.
