Why use PBIV as an abbreviation?

During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to Palazzo Bembo in Venice (23 characters long, including blanks) as PBIV (4 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and PBIV is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
  3. We save 19 characters every time we do this

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to PBIV throughout the remainder of this review.

Also, we’ll sometimes use PBIV42038 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

If you want to make it more fun, you can assign a rating of 1 suitcase to 4 suitcases to Palazzo Bembo, depending on how good of a fit you think it is, according to your expert rating.

But that’s optional.

And now, let the questions begin…

Is Palazzo Bembo in a good location in Venice for you?

Where you want to be located in Venice is one of the most important questions for you to answer.

Of course, it all depends on why you’ll be in Venice in the first place, and whether the location of PBIV will be helpful to you or not.

For example, are you traveling to Venice for business or pleasure? Visiting friends or family there? Simply want to soak up the sights and attractions?

It’s very simple: decide what you want to actually accomplish (what you want to see or do) in Venice. And then decide whether Palazzo Bembo’s location is a benefit for that or not.

Does Palazzo Bembo have a pool?

An indoor pool or outdoor pool (or even super swanky rooftop pool) might or might not be important to you, depending on how you’re planning to spend your time in Venice and who you’re traveling with.

For example, if you’re traveling by yourself on business, it might not be important at all, but if you’re traveling to Venice with friends, family, or children, and you think you’d enjoy relaxing by the pool at PBIV, it might be an important consideration whether there is an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, whether it’s heated or not and has a pool bar or not, and so on.

If a pool is very important for your stay, THG recommends that you do a specific search for the best deals on Venice hotels with pools.

Does Palazzo Bembo have a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, spa, or spa tub?

Does Palazzo Bembo have enough beds for you?

If you’re staying at PBIV with multiple people, this answer is important, because a single twin bed, double bed, queen bed, or king bed is fine if you’re on your own, but if there are others you’d rather not share a bed with, it’s worth checking whether you’ll have a couple double beds or queen sized beds for the sleeping arrangements, or perhaps even a double sofa that you can pull out and make into an extra bed.

Brief reviews (in English and other languages)

Authentic with great access to restaurants and shopping.

The best hotel in Venice surely. View of grand canal unparalleled, stunning room. When can I come back? Arrived late and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and nicer. Honestly one of the nicest places to stay. I’ve read reviews about slanty floors, and it is true but honestly not worth the worry. It’s barely noticeable

The location of the hotel was excellent and two of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly

Great staff – very helpful with lots of useful information Location right next to rialto bridge with vapparetto stops on the doorstep, perfect for getting around and makes finding/accessing the hotel a breeze. View from the breakfast area windows overlooks the grand canal and rialto bridge Rooms are large and generally comfortable Is located on top floor of building with a free art gallery occupying the lower floors

Excellent location – right in front of the Rialto stop. It was a 5 minute walk to St Mark’s Square. The room was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful small boutique style hotel, lovely rooms and excellent staff. The lady who made the breakfast and cleaned the rooms, Sylvia and Thomas on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. The afternoon buffer was lovely too

Fantastic location. Helpfull personel. Perfect value.

This "hotel" has only 1 floor in a building with 4 floors; 2 of the floors were used for an art exhibition. It was not the hotel experience with amenities that I thought I booked, but it was OK. There are only 6 rooms on the floor, the bathroom is very small, and there was a continental breakfast included in our stay which was convenient, and it had to be one of the best locations in Venice.

We liked the location, the view and the quirky property. Helpful staff.
