Nice japanese inn in a very good location in the heart of Higashiyama. Nice japanese breakfast served in the room. Kind service.
It’s very good value for a ryokan experience, and the location in Gion is excellent. The room was large by Japan’s standards, and the futons were very comfortable. We slept very well and had to drag ourselves out of the room to explore beautiful Kyoto. The staff were also helpful and presented us with a hand-drawn map, as well as information on where to take the sightseeing bus (there’s a stop just around the corner) and what to do around the area.
The ladies serving were very nice. Felt very traditional, good location.
Staffs are very friendly, we helped me booked restaurant, bought the bus daily-pass tickets and they could help us book the rental bikes. When we were considering the bike renting issues, the glasses-wearing staff even check the weather of the following days to ensure a good riding experience before I myself considered, which is very sweet. The staff of the ryokan really helped a lot on our trip in Kyoto. We can feel their sincerely kindness from the conversation. The location is excellent. it’s right in Gion, with a lot of good restaurants and temples in walking distance.
Hotel looked good, employees were nice, breakfast was great! We were served in a traditional way. The bathhouse was small, a few washing spots and one not big hot tub, but enough for the four of us alone.
Helpful staff Kohji was a great help even before we got there.
The staff and the faculty was amazing. I wish I got the ladies name in the Kimonoe who served us. She was just so nice and kind and tentative. Like a mother figure. The food and the hospitality was the best and the futon.
Beautiful traditional accomodation. We had traditional Japanese breakfast served to our room which was not only a great experience but the best breakfast we had in Japan.
Location was great and the food was amazing. Staff so incredibly polite.
Very relaxing break. Just spent our time there enjoying the food and facilities.
