Fantastic, traditional Japanese ryokan experience. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they anticipated our needs/questions even before we asked. The location is great for travel around Kyoto, being near one of the major temples there are many things to within a walk or short bus ride from the ryokan.

Hosts were very polite and met us at the front door. Kind and friendly staff. True Japanese hospitality. You are provided with Yukata that you can wear inside the ryokan. Room is very peaceful. They didn’t wait for us to ask them questions, they preempted and were very helpful with dinner suggestions etc. Awesome bath experience. 5 minutes walking distance to Kiyomisudera and the shops/markets around this tourist spot.
The staff went out of their way each and every time.
Amazing location, half way up the hill to the beautiful Kiyomizu-Dera. The streets around the ryokan are lined with beautiful shops, some very touristy, some very authentic. A very busy tourist area during the day, but early morning and evenings are much quieter and we could really take in the beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. The ryokan staff were amazingly helpful, and really went out of their way to make sure we got to where we wanted, booked restaurants and taxis for us. The rooms are traditional Japanese style. The beds are rolled up and put away during the day, and set up again every evening for when we got back for dinner. Extremely comfortable and clean. Would love to visit again!

Their staffs are very sweet in every way, you will start your day with their smile. They even prepared surprising gifts as we arrived and left, which made you feel like home. Also, the breakfast are fatastic and delicious, along with the hot tub every night, very enjoyable. Thanks again for the great stay.
