Why use ISOPIS as an abbreviation?
During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to ibis Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney (34 characters long, including blanks) as ISOPIS (6 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:
- We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
- We’re lazy and ISOPIS is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
- We save 28 characters every time we do this
So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to ISOPIS throughout the remainder of this review.
Also, we’ll sometimes use ISOPIS40965 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

Brief reviews (in English and other languages)
The location was good as we were going to see a concert, lots of restaurants around too
Had requested an early check-in via Booking.com – there was no communication and when I arrived at 12.30 was told the room was not ready and I could wait! Waiting was not possible. Asked the staff to contact me when the room became available – this also did not happen. Breakfast the next day was chaotic to say the least. As I was travelling alone each time I left my table to get something I lost the table. There was 2 staff on for a full breakfast room. Shocking way to start the day. While apologies were forthcoming. I was not impressed considering the $38 charge. Breakfast was mediocre. Very disappointing!
Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Buffet breakfast was great, had a meal there, but it was the worst I have ever had. Jon dory and scallop I think was older and more bland than a piece of wood, and at a cost of $78 dollars was unbelievable and worst of all the menu was restricted for some reason. Also 3 sachets of sugar for coffee for 2 people was unbelievable not to mention only one small soap for 2 people and I should have left my drinks on the table because it was colder than the fridge. Other than that it was great.
Location was perfect as we were attending an event at ANZ Stadium. Staff were very friendly. Food was delicious.
Location was great!! Bed was very comfy. Staff were friendly
Our room was basic but comfortable and very clean. Comfy beds. Very convenient walk to qudos bank arena and Anz stadium.
The staff were amazing. Location is perfect and the room was beautiflul. Highly recommend
Very easy check in, staff were very friendly and mostly helpful. I had booked a room with 2 single beds and when I called up to see if they had a double available they changed it with no issues. Room is spacious and ammenities were good.
