Why use HMIM as an abbreviation?

During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to Hotel Mediodia in Madrid (24 characters long, including blanks) as HMIM (4 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and HMIM is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
  3. We save 20 characters every time we do this

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to HMIM throughout the remainder of this review.

Also, we’ll sometimes use HMIM34168 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

Why Hotel Mediodia discount rates can vary wildly

The price of staying at HMIM will depend on factors such as the time of year (season), days of the week, current level of popularity (how booked it is or not), and more.

That said, you can use the tips below to hopefully get a great Hotel Mediodia promotional offer, in addition to the deal at the top of this page.

Use Google to find the best Hotel Mediodia coupon promo codes and discounts

This is one of the most effective ways to get a HMIM discount, even though it can be a bit time consuming.

In a nutshell, you want to get on Google or a different search engine of your choice and do searches for things like:

  • Best Hotel Mediodia promotion code or available promotion codes
  • Most recent Hotel Mediodia voucher code
  • Popular Hotel Mediodia coupons

Sometimes, being more specific can help improve your search results, but you can also try keeping your search queries for HMIM simpler, like this:

  • Hotel Mediodia discount codes

It’s worth taking a few minutes doing these kinds of searches, if it gets you a better price on your stay in Madrid.

Use email to get a good deal on HMIM

That way you just get a Hotel Mediodia discount, promotion, or offer emailed directly to your email address once you’re on their mailing list.

Find good deals on other places to stay in Madrid

The worst case scenario is that after all this searching, you’re still not satisfied with the Hotel Mediodia price.

This is still not a big deal, because you can easily search for other hotels, hostels, furnished apartments, etc. in Madrid.

If you want to make it more fun, you can assign a rating of 1 suitcase to 4 suitcases to Hotel Mediodia, depending on how good of a fit you think it is, according to your expert rating.

But that’s optional.

And now, let the questions begin…

Is Hotel Mediodia in a good location in Madrid for you?

Where you want to be located in Madrid is one of the most important questions for you to answer.

Of course, it all depends on why you’ll be in Madrid in the first place, and whether the location of HMIM will be helpful to you or not.

For example, are you traveling to Madrid for business or pleasure? Visiting friends or family there? Simply want to soak up the sights and attractions?

It’s very simple: decide what you want to actually accomplish (what you want to see or do) in Madrid. And then decide whether Hotel Mediodia’s location is a benefit for that or not.

Does Hotel Mediodia have a pool?

An indoor pool or outdoor pool (or even super swanky rooftop pool) might or might not be important to you, depending on how you’re planning to spend your time in Madrid and who you’re traveling with.

For example, if you’re traveling by yourself on business, it might not be important at all, but if you’re traveling to Madrid with friends, family, or children, and you think you’d enjoy relaxing by the pool at HMIM, it might be an important consideration whether there is an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, whether it’s heated or not and has a pool bar or not, and so on.

If a pool is very important for your stay, THG recommends that you do a specific search for the best deals on Madrid hotels with pools.

Does Hotel Mediodia have a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, spa, or spa tub?

While you’re exploring the pool options at HMIM34168, you might as well check whether there’s a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, full service spa, or spa tub that you might be able to enjoy to make your stay even more relaxing.

If you don’t have a car when visiting Madrid, investigate what kind of transportation HMIM provides to nearby sites, as well as the best way to get around, whether it’s by subway, train, taxi, bus, Uber, Lyft, etc, especially since a nearby subway station, train station, bus station, or taxi station in walking distance can make all the difference in the world.

Does Hotel Mediodia have enough beds for you?

If you’re staying at HMIM with multiple people, this answer is important, because a single twin bed, double bed, queen bed, or king bed is fine if you’re on your own, but if there are others you’d rather not share a bed with, it’s worth checking whether you’ll have a couple double beds or queen sized beds for the sleeping arrangements, or perhaps even a double sofa that you can pull out and make into an extra bed.

Does Hotel Mediodia have good food options?

Depending on your needs, consider whether HMIM offers a free breakfast, and if so, whether it’s a simple daily continental breakfast / buffet breakfast, or something fancier like a brunch or some kind of fine dining experience with exquisite cuisine and award winning food.

Brief reviews (in English and other languages)

Perfect location for those travelling by AVE, and for art-lovers. We had a room with balcony overlooking the "Reina Sofia".; comfortable bed and very good light for reading. Spacious bathroom with good ventilation. Lots of choice of places to eat on the street by the hotel (we had breakfast outside the hotel too)

Great location with large room. Beds are clean and cozy.

Room was fantastic, staff efficient and very friendly and beds so comfortable. Great location, excellent price…..

Perfect location next to Atocha station. Literally could walk to the tapas area and easy access to the metro. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is very convenient if travel by train to Madrid ,just a three minute walk from the tropical garden section of the rail station , The staff were helpful and the room was comfortable ,large and en suite was big ,it was clean and in a excellent location .Taxi rank/bus out the door ,food and bar outlets out side the door with great atmosphere, short walk to other streets with restaurant and outlets , beside national art galleries

Excellent location. Lots of local cafes for breakfast and other meals. Clean family rooms. Really easy to get to Atocha station on the Airport Express bus. Simple accommodation. Courteous staff.

Location is excellent. Just cross the road to Atocha station and Airport express bus is walkable. Many restaurants are surrounding.

The place seems to have had a bit of a facelift since I was there two years ago. Fridge in the room and generally better décor. Quiet inner room. Excellent location for the station Atocha.

We were only spending a day in Madrid, so picked this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, and the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. For that purpose, it was just fine. The view from our room was the interior courtyard, but we didn’t mind.
