Why use HSIS as an abbreviation?
During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to Hostal Sierpes in Seville (25 characters long, including blanks) as HSIS (4 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:
- We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
- We’re lazy and HSIS is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
- We save 21 characters every time we do this
So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to HSIS throughout the remainder of this review.
Also, we’ll sometimes use HSIS40246 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

And now, let the questions begin…
Is Hostal Sierpes in a good location in Seville for you?
Where you want to be located in Seville is one of the most important questions for you to answer.
Of course, it all depends on why you’ll be in Seville in the first place, and whether the location of HSIS will be helpful to you or not.
For example, are you traveling to Seville for business or pleasure? Visiting friends or family there? Simply want to soak up the sights and attractions?
It’s very simple: decide what you want to actually accomplish (what you want to see or do) in Seville. And then decide whether Hostal Sierpes’s location is a benefit for that or not.
Does Hostal Sierpes have a pool?
An indoor pool or outdoor pool (or even super swanky rooftop pool) might or might not be important to you, depending on how you’re planning to spend your time in Seville and who you’re traveling with.
For example, if you’re traveling by yourself on business, it might not be important at all, but if you’re traveling to Seville with friends, family, or children, and you think you’d enjoy relaxing by the pool at HSIS, it might be an important consideration whether there is an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, whether it’s heated or not and has a pool bar or not, and so on.
If a pool is very important for your stay, THG recommends that you do a specific search for the best deals on Seville hotels with pools.
Does Hostal Sierpes have a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, spa, or spa tub?

If you’re staying at HSIS with multiple people, this answer is important, because a single twin bed, double bed, queen bed, or king bed is fine if you’re on your own, but if there are others you’d rather not share a bed with, it’s worth checking whether you’ll have a couple double beds or queen sized beds for the sleeping arrangements, or perhaps even a double sofa that you can pull out and make into an extra bed.

Brief reviews (in English and other languages)
Amazing people at the reception. Very friendly, polite and helpful!
Very quiet room. A short walk to Cafe’s, Bars, Restaurants, Shops and walking distance to several places of interest.
None that I can think of. I only booked it because there was no other choices in similar price range on the day I was there. Given the experience I would rather pay more for another place for my next trip.
Good "old town" location with most "sights" within easy walking distance [but find a good map first – the one supplied by the hotel is pretty vague].
Excellent and very helpful reception desk staff who tolerated my so-so Spanish and gave good directions as to finding the major sights.
Loved the bright courtyards to relax in – on three floors. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely room with lots of space. Breakfast room with unique fascinating wall tiles.
Closeness to Seville old town and amenities. Good value for money.
Very attractive typically Spanish hotel – not flashy if that’s what you want – but modest and full of character.
Location. Charm that comes with age and character.
