My general overall experience at this hotel was very good. It was clean, comfortable, good value for my money, and the staff were as pleasant as ever. I very much enjoyed the comfort of my room, the bed was superb and the bathroom blew my mind with it’s humongous size, it’s terrific facilities and the shower ESPECIALLY was almost worth the trip itself. There’s something about a nice bathe/shower that can make you feel right at home. The pleasantries like the tea and coffee were surprisingly nice, too, as I love a nice cup of tea in the morning. Even the addition of things like a plug in fan (which at first I never thought I would use), came in very handy at night when I woke up too hot.
I was kept waiting in the foyer for over 1hr even though we had stated on the booking that this booking was made on the company credit card. The room was cold so had to ask for a heater and the staff agreed that the room was very cold. Asked for an invoice to be sent by email still haven’t received this. On the whole was a poor hotel and would not be recommending this in future and this was an uncomfortable stay prior to a very important meeting.
The fact that it hadn’t changed that much. I was Night Manager there in 1998 for a while. It was a last minute booking. When I saw it come up as an option, I had to take it.
Staff was fast and efficient. Stayed in room 410 and city views were amazing
The location was quite close to the tube station which was convenient.

If you like the 1970s then this is the hotel for you as it didn’t seem to have been refurbished since then.
Room was clean, everything provided, in general, my room itself was good.
Good selection for breakfast of cooked and Continental. Well located. Spacious, clean room with all you need. Old style door key system. Spacious communal area. Will use again.
Staff was really courteous. Gave us a really early morning check in. Room cleaning was done really well.
