The staff were extremely friendly and fun throughout our stay! The hotel is perfectly located for all the cool bars and restaurants located in Santa Theresa, including the Hotel bar which was one of our favourites in the area!

I had an amazing experience at Discovery suites. The hotel itself is clean, nicely decorated, and has a unique blend of comfortable and luxury. The breakfast was astonishingly complete. I could not have been happier with my choice. The staff was incredible as well. It was great getting to know the hotel employees and owners who were always willing to help. They also linked me with the people in their associated hostel (Discovery hostel) where I met other fun travellers to go out with. The neighbourhood is cozy and authentic, steps away from Lapa which is one of the main nightlife streets. It’s less touristic than ipanema or copa so it’s a good place to stay if you’re interested in exploring the city and seeing how Brazillians live. I can not recommend this place enough. If you stay here while visiting Rio, I am positive you will have a great experience.
Staff- Johanna and Luciana- were great, so helpful and friendly. They spoke perfect English and were always willing to help with anything. The room had good extras like a fridge and sink. Breakfasts were very good and enough for two people.
– very comfortable and spacious with a patio – I can only recommend the suite (Room 1)! – helpful staff with great English – excellent coffee and breakfast – fab location in Santa Teresa – close to many things but as quiet as it gets in Rio – In-house restaurant is one of the best in the neighbourhood with cocktails and inventive dishes
