Why use DHHIP as an abbreviation?
During our review, you might sometimes see us refer to Dancing House Hotel in Prague (29 characters long, including blanks) as DHHIP (5 characters long) for the following 3 reasons:
- We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very groundbreaking, we know)
- We’re lazy and DHHIP is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes
- We save 24 characters every time we do this
So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to DHHIP throughout the remainder of this review.
Also, we’ll sometimes use DHHIP38015 which is a combination of the abbreviation with the Travel Help Guru post id, which we sometimes use for THG tracking purposes to further differentiate abbreviations from one another.

For example, if you’re traveling by yourself on business, it might not be important at all, but if you’re traveling to Prague with friends, family, or children, and you think you’d enjoy relaxing by the pool at DHHIP, it might be an important consideration whether there is an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, whether it’s heated or not and has a pool bar or not, and so on.

Lovely staff, excellent breakfast (with strawberry and champagne), silent, spacious room with modern interior, ackward panoramic view from the restaurant, wifi is OK, baby bed is perfect.
We visited Prague for a Total of 6 nights/5 days, as our flight was delayed coming over. We had decided to break up our stay by staying in 2 different hotels, The Dancing House being our second stay. Although the reception area is quite small, it is welcoming. We had booked a Standard Double Room so I expected it to be nice but small. When we checked in, the receptionist kindly showed us to our room. It was HUGE and had 2 lovely big windows curving the room, with views of the river which was a huge bonus. We even got a welcome drink on arrival. The hotel has a cosy roof terrace with amazing views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle as well as the many other beautiful coloured buildings surrounding. We did not eat at the Hotel for dinner but the breakfast was very good. We really loved this hotel and would highly recommend it!
The design of the hotel was extraordinary. Croissants were great, the bed was very comfortable.
The comfortable beds and the view are very special
Location is great near to the interest places, however the staff was not friendly, for me the greeting and flexibility is more important than the money.. staff who met me was not friendly even she did not say hello, hardly talking to me.
