Location, though it was therefore in a crowded part of Venice.

Very good customer service via email including a clear map for finding the hotel in an email.Very clean and excellent continental breakfast.Great location in the heart of the Rialto district.Close to the vaperetto stop which is important if you have large bags. No bedside lamp which I think every hotel room should have.

This place was a bit tricky to find at first. But this old palazzo is so unique and old and interesting and wonderfully placed. Paolo met us and gave us all the information to begin our venture in Venice. We got up to our room and were under the impression that we didn’t get the room with a canal view because it was taken. Turns out , yes we didn’t have a view of the ‘Grand’ canal, but we had better. right out the window and below as a pretty , quiet, perfect small canal with gondolas passing occasionally! The hotel is well placed, convenient to walk to all areas of Venice! Breakfast was yummy. Coffee strong and delicious! oh yeah and finally there is an AMAZING restaurant just below the hotel! don’t miss it!

We stayed in room #5 because we were a family of 5 and it had 3 beds. We loved our room so much. It was clean and comfortable and had air conditioning and a fan. More then that, we had our own private terrace to eat breakfast while watching all the boats go by on the view of the Grand Canal. We had our own entrance off the terrace to come and go from and the location of the hotel could not be better since it is right off the Rialto Bridge. We will come back to this room again if we ever come back to Venice!

This palazzo was very atmospheric , and had a wonderful position by the Grand Canal . The price was very reasonable by Venetian standards .

The breakfast was great. Staff really nice and friendly (they were always willing to help you). The location is good (vaporetto n.1 Rialto) and a eight minute walk (the worst is the stairs in Rialto bridge and in another small bridge you have to cross to reach the hotel (a backpack is a good idea). Breakfast provided was excellent, room was spacious enough for a family of 5. Owner was really great and very informative. We would stay there again if we went back. Excellent location.

Nice Room, great view, good location. Problem with Wlan was solved uncomplicated.

We have been there several times and like the area. The reception staff remember us and give us a very nice room. Proximity to Piazzale Roma makes it easy to get a bus to the airport, or to catch a train or vaporetto. Much less touristy than the San Marco area.

Great location – within easy walking distance from the station and water bus, although we got a water taxi to/from the airport directly to the hotel. About 20-30 minutes easy walk from St Marks Square so the area not too crowded.

Very large quiet room with a lovely bed and a great bathroom

This hotel was simply amazing. Me and my girlfriend spent two days in Venice at Hotel Al Sole and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff was amazingly friendly and not only did the man who greeted us at the reception spoke the 5 languages we spoke, but he gave us great recommendations for either tours to book, restaurants nearby, and other things to do in Venice. The breakfast, included in our price, was served thoroughly from 7am to 10am and was fantastic value for money. The room, on the second floor, had an amazing view of the canal (requested), very clean bathroom, was spacious, quiet, comfortable and air conditioned (if necessary). The hotel is also very easy to get to from the train station and is superbly located in terms of getting to points of interest around Venice. 5 starts, absolutely recommend!

The room was spacious and the towels were gorgeous! Breakfast was lovely with everything very fresh and best breakfast rolls ever. Location was great for us as not too busy but nice bars and restaurants close by.

Carlo at the desk was very helpful and directed us to a terrific restaurant The location is perfect for the BIENNALE and has a convenient water bus stop.

The location is really great, I was visiting the Biennale and would get there within 10 min, otherwise going to every other places in the city very easily. The room was big and bright, very calm and overlooking a very nice Piazza. The breakfast was simple but very gently served.

The staff were wonderful. My partner had an injury in Paris and found it difficult to walk upstairs. When we arrived in Venice they had organised transport to the hotel from the airport. They bought up breakfast each morning, arranged taxi boats for us, advice on where we could eat etc. the hotel is small but has so much character . Would definitely stay there again!

The breakfast in the morning was great, exactly what me and my girlfriend like to eat. Amazing comfort in the room too with a lovely view of the grand canal. Staff very friendly and allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel for 8 hours after check out. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the location and view. The perfect spot for a couple of nights with Saint Mark’s only 5 minutes away. Beautiful windows let in the view. Breakfast was a good continental spread and the staff were very helpful.

Spacious room. View looked out onto pleasant quiet courtyard. Friendly staff. Location incredibly central. Wifi free and very fast.

My daughter and I had a great stay. The room was great with a lovely view over the lagoon and the staff were very helpful. We would definitely go back again.

It was an amazing hotel. Chiara was particularly helpful. Would love to stay there again. Great breakfast and garden.

Everything. We loved the privacy, the peace and the comfort. The breakfast was great with lots of selection and excellent service. We especially liked the hotel’s motor boat service across the lagoon, which only took 5 minutes and used it frequently. The island of Giudecca was so peaceful after the crowds and noise of San Marco. We walked the length of it and visited some of the lovely bars and restaurants.

While it’s not on the main island it’s so much better. First it’s beautiful the views are wonderful. The staff are 10 times better than the sister hotel. The water shuttle works very hard to meet the needs of the guests. I’m staying there every time I visit Venice.

Lovely bonus of getting an upgraded room. However, without that surprise, the hotel is really nice with great, helpful & friendly staff. Sumptuous breakfast included, with both English and continental options available.

Good choice of cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheese. Environment lovely. Staff first rate.

The location across the water on the Giudecca island was perfect – peace and quiet in the beautiful garden yet with a regular shuttle bus to get to and from the main hotel near St Mark’s Square so the perfect combination

The peace and calm of the Guidecca but the fact it was one stop to S Marco. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable room. Incomparable setting. Magnificent garden, near unique in Venice. Helpful, obliging staff. Excellent inclusive breakfast. Complimentary coffee on request in the lounge and garden. The complimentary shuttle to S Marco.

We enjoy hot water immediately in the morning and or a green or peppermint tea and we did not have basic hot water/tea making facilities in our room. It would be good to have.

The only problem was there was 4 of us and only towels for 2 people.

plenty of room, close to supermarket, good to be away from the crowds.

The property was high quality and very clean. All the essentials that are needed for self catering were already provided: salt, pepper, washing up liquid, toilet paper, tea towels etc. The beds were already made up, which was a bonus as we arrived at around 11pm. There was also a small balcony which we weren’t expecting, but was a relaxing place to sit in the late afternoon sun.

The property was in a lovely quiet area and easily accessible to the station & airport. The property itself was clean and modern.

the communication with the property before and on arrival was perfect. Sami was brilliant in giving tips about surroundings. The location was perfect, the place was very close to a supermarket which we could shop easily, there was a washing machine and a dishwasher, anything you like. The property was very helpful with our bags after check out. All good

Apartment is well furnished and host provided tea, coffee, biscuits etc which was lovely.

Staff were awesome, helpful and happy! Everything was explained to us on arrival and all questions were answered. The location was great, nice quiet area and the supermarket is about 3 minutes away on foot. Access to the Vaporetto is about 5 minutes away on foot. Walking to San Marco is about 45 minutes if you are fast. The apartments are modern and have everything you need, kitchen with oven, fridge and microwave. Two awesome bathrooms and even a washing machine! Wifi is provided in the apartment with speeds around 10mbit/1mbit (down/up) ADSL. I would thoroughly recommend staying here, this was our favorite accommodation for our entire stay in Italy!

Agnes, who met us and checked us in was wonderful and professional! The apartment was new, modern and well arranged. The bathroom was very roomy which is not always the case. Loads of details and extras--a REALLY perfect place to stay in Venice. Not at all touristy or noisy, market and vaporetto nearby. We will stay there again!

Wonderful layout, very clean and great air conditioning during a very hot season.

This is a 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet area of Venice. The facilities were excellent and new. It is good for families and business travelers or small groups. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a grocery store near by so you can cook if you wish. The individual who met us (Giulio) was helpful and friendly. The only downside (if it matters to you) is that it is slightly off the beaten track as far as the major tourist things go. But I was fine with that.

Beautiful modern condo right in the heart of Venice in Rialto! Everything was within steps of the condo, shops, restaurants, market. Great WIFI! Condo has a nice kitchen, with coffee provided. Went to market to pickup a few things for our morning meal and wine to relax and go over the sights and adventures we discovered. The condo had nice brochure with restaurant recommendations and ideas of what to do off-the beaten path and we did exactly that. We got lost in the small narrow streets as they recommended, ate in small unassuming restaurants, visited small churches and museums… it was a fun adventure!!

The apartment was very well equipped, very spacious, modern. Location was FANTASTIC. Came with coffee cooktop, frig. Very close to water taxi stop. Exactly as advertised and more! Very quiet also

Location everything is near, comfortable big space

I was skeptical about the location, concerned about crowds and noise. It turned out that the location was ideal for us…very convenient and central. The accommodations were ideal…comfortable and providing everything we could reasonably want. And the staff was very generous with their services and assistance. We could not have asked for anything more.

The apartment is beautifully styled, very comfortable and right in the heart of San Polo. The Rialto Market is literally next door!! Easy to shop for food to cater at home as well as being close to excellent bars and restaurants. The water bus is less than 100m from the apartment and a short stroll takes you to the Rialto Bridge! Amazing, beautiful Venice!

It was quiet and well kept. There was a small fridge in the room.

The staff helped us manage a severely sprained ankle by providing ice. They also accommodated an early morning departure by providing some breakfast foods the night before. Breakfast was good.

Very kind staff, especially really helpful info to self-accomodation because of late come in. Pleasantly warm room, comfortable bed, minibar, quiet room. Great place of the hotel in the center of Venezia but away from tourism.

Perfect location to discover the city, close to the water bus stop and quiet at the same time. The receptionist was nice (until we asked for help.)

Looks like they just renovated the place. Facilities are new and room is clean. Good size room and there is nice sit area. Breakfast is pretty decent with many choices for fresh fruits. Distance to the water transportation to airport is acceptable, 10 mins by walking.

It was quaint and quirky and very different to run of the mill hotel. We had a lovely mezzanine level for sitting as part of our room

The staff was so helpful and friendly, helped us with everything we needed! They definitely went the extra mile for us The location is really good for walking around the city- close to the main street of Cannaregio, nice and quiet, but close to many restaurants, bars and shops. If you arrive by Train, you will have to take a water taxi (7.5 Euros per person), or walk for about a half an-hour (consider the old streets and stone bridges).

The location was great, once off the boat there were NO stairs until we got to our hotel. We will stay again!

Nice apartment on a quiet street just minutes from the boat taxis ! Our host was very nice and gave us dinner recommendations and pointed out a wonderful bakery close by as our room did not come with a breakfast.

The apartment was nice and had plenty of space for all 8 of us. We had a few problems, but the hosts fixed them quickly and efficiently.

Location! Valentina greeted us early as the apartment was available early. Nice, tasteful uncluttered decor. Two full baths for a group of 7 adults. Very safe.

The apartment has a great location right next to Ferro via. And right. By the water taxis.

Close to the train station and supermarket. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Meeting up with the contact person was easy. She was very helpful!

Great location and very big rooms. Be sure you have a way to contact the property to get the keys.

Gloria came to the station to receive us and showed the apartment and explained about places etc..

The appartment is really great. Good location, cosy rooms, well equiped kitchen. Two bathrooms are also convinient for 8 guests. Everything is clean and tidy. And Valentina who gave us keys was so sweet!

I love their breakfast!It’s so perfect and clean! And staffs are not really friendly…they just do their job. Only two girls for breakfast they are so nice and friendly! In the room was good for stay and you have a lot of drinks and snack in a minibar.The bathroom are cleaned.

Friendly staff, great location, beautiful venetian style room overlooking the canal. Very charming would absolutely recommend.

The price was good for the centre of Venice so therefore maybe you could not expect too much. But the room was really very, very small and although all looked clean yet it all seemed a bit run down.

The room was comfortable and close to everything. We were close to the canal, but in spite of all the activity, the room was very quiet. Desk clerk was helpful when we wanted recommendations on how to catch the train early in the morning.

The staff was extremely friendly! Great location to everything! These were the most comfortable beds we stayed in during our Italy trip!

The staff was very friendly and helpful it was tucked away on quiet side Street but right on a smaaa canal…ask for a canal view! Nice lunens. Good Size room.
