Staff where friendly and helpful. The room was big and comfortable with small cooktop and fridge so really good to prepear some meals. Very Quiet location within a short walk of town center and beach.

How clean the hotel was, very quiet hotel and very easy to talk to the 5th Av.

Probably the best quality you can get in Playa del Carmen for such a reasonable price. The structure is beautiful and very clean (totally European standards). Room are spacious and comfortable. Staff is friendly.

I Got a really Good room (deluxe) at a barging price – large discount compared to the normal rate it was a “penthouse” with a Nice balcony The cleaning was really good

I liked that its very peaceful and quiet especially at night.

The parking was easy, they always had a spot available on the street.

The front desk staff spoke English pretty well & are always pleased to help hotel guests. There is a water cooler next to the front desk for staff & guests to use to fill water bottles. The A/C in the room works VERY well, very refreshing. The hotel is next to the beach & at the beginning of 5th Avenue, so you get to see all the shops in one walk.

Yes, the bed was like a cloud. The fruit juices were delicious, loved the Mexican food at breakfast Buffett. I applaud the staff and management for the services rendered.

The hotel is pristine clean. Not an inch of this hotel is dirty. Staff is super friendly. I would like to personally recognize Rocio at the front desk, she help us a lot throughout our stay. Breakfast is plentiful and they change it a little bit everyday. A lot of Mexican yummy options. Location is good but I wouldn’t recommend walking. Get a car or a taxi when you go to town or the beach.

The staff went above and beyond, very friendly and all spoke English.

The beach was magnificent. The food and dining options were great.

Food was exquisite. Except no seafood. Employees are extremily nice. Beach is so peaceful. Overall it was heaven.

Personal service is excellent. Staff so welcoming and friendly. Big room and bathroom, big comfortable bed. Beautiful park like grounds with a lot of quiet areas and smaller pools with hot tubs to relax. Pool at the gym great for lap swim. Great choice of excellent restaurants, each nicely decorated.

The resort is very laid back and is not crowded at all. There’s always availability at the pool or beach to find chairs during the day or the staff will bring out more to accommodate. The staff is excellent at fixing an issues or problems that came up. It’s probably more of a 4 star property than a 5 star but compared to many other properties in the area--it was a favorite. It’s a very laid back experience with few crowds, waits, or hassles. The food in all the restaurants was really good and had 6 of them so you never really got bored. Great bartenders and drinks throughout.

Beach Tropical ambience Location The room was clean

As we walked in the hotel, we were surrounded by jungle-like trees and greens! The hotel is very well maintened and clean! The staff couldn’t seize to amaze me. Everyone was very friendly, always smiling and always greeting. I didn’t see a single person in a bad mood or giving attitude to a customer ( although some guests truly deserved it!). Considering the food-you have so many options to choose from-you could eat at the buffet, have Italian, gourmet Mexican or grab a snack from the little shack near the pool. Food’s always fresh and delicious. We paid extra to have better drinks and to be honest, that was the best decision we have taken 🙂 furthermore, the beach is great with crystal clean water, pristine sand! There was always something going on during the day at the pool area-aqua aerobics, beach volleyball, zumba, etc. The animation team is GREAT! Awesome guys! We’ll be back for sure!

The food, cleaning, room, beach and waitress are wonderful.

I liked the pools. Staff was quick to upkeep the premises immediately after rain showers. There were certain resort buildings under construction. Areas were very slippery also.

The beaches were beautiful and clean, the staff was polite and spoke every morning, there wasn’t a housekeeper, staff that didn’t say hola every morning.

The Reef is a smaller more intimate hotel on the beach.The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate your wishes. You can walk to Playa del Carmen within 15 minutes or take a taxi for 90 pesos. Kayaks and sailing are free. There are reasonably priced excursions to local reefs and tortoise viewings. The food is good and you can have a lovely dining experience at the Botticelli Restaurant at no extra cost. Food is available all day long. The entertainment staff works tirelessly to provide activities for adults and children alike -- water polo -- aquatic exercise classes and yoga.

The apartment was nice and close to all things in Playa Del Carmen. Has a kitchenette and little outside area which was nice. The location was the best part.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. The location was perfect – right next to an amazing bakery and restaurant, close enough to the big tourist strip to walk, but far enough to feel like you are really visiting Mexico.

We were met personally by the owner Saul who was super friendly and efficient. I left my laptop bag with my whole life in it in the taxi and he tracked the driver down and got all my stuff back. So grateful to him. The fridge was stocked with complimentary beer and the room had a water cooler with complimentary water. The kitchenette had all the necessary equipment and a coffee machine with coffee pods. Location was central for 5th Avenue and other local shops and restaurants. They also arranged excursions to the ruins and cenotes and an out of town beach where the locals go to escape the tourists.

The apartment was pefect! Well equipment with evry thing you need for cooking, good. shower, comfortablel bed clean and modern. You have drinking water for your use. The host is really nice, was available for us all the time, helping with every issue that we have. The apartment located in a good location 5 min from 5 th av, landury and super near by

The owners were truly nice and very helpful. We received some good tips about Playa del Carmen and surroundings such as Tulum, Akumal, X Cacel etc. The whole apartment was very well maintained and there is even a hammock in the living room and snorkeling masks for guests to use. There are good and cheap places to eat nearby. It is also not too far away from the beach and supermarkets.

Property was nice, close to everything! Owner was very helpful.

I spent 2 nights here with a friend. Our host was very very friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived he came to help us give us as much information as possible. He also allows us to stay many hours more than the checkout time, take a shower before to leave without asking anything. I highly suggest this place. Unfortunatelly we did not have enought time to try the jacuzzi on the roof that looks very nice.

Ivan & Daniela were attentive, gracious hosts. They made my mom and I feel like we were staying with friends. The place was spotlessly clean. We were encouraged to use the to use the kitchen whenever we liked – which we did. When finding out that my mother liked guava, Ivan made fresh guava juice for all of us. They gave us lots of suggestions for daytrips, etc. When we couldn’t find a taxi when we were leaving, Ivan even helped us walk with our luggage to the bus station in the rain. On my next visit to Playa, I would gladly stay again. Merci Ivan & Daniela! Gracias para todo!

Ivan and Daniela make you feel very welcome in their clean and comfortable home. They provide use of beach equipment, shared use of all the kitchen facilities, BBQ and jacuzzi on the roof and pool downstairs. The room has a private balcony, fan and air con but the fan was enough. They made us cocktails on arrival. We really enjoyed our stay here

Ivan & Daniella had us over and had all the info we needed. The apartment was spacious with a great kitchen. Shower/bathroom clean and big. Good value for money.
