Lovely lobby and bar area, friendly staff, perfect location on Grafton Street

The location of the apartment was perfect and central. The accommodation was very clean and modern with a cool spiral staircase leading to the bedroom area. Restaurants, nightlife, bars, shopping and of course all tourist attractions in walking distance. Would really recommend and would stay here again.

We really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and we loved the dining area and library nook. It was lovely to have the happy hour where we were served a glass of bubbly and nibbles. The candy bar, espresso machine and water cooler were appreciated as were the supply of apples. The location was very good, close to the DFO which was good for us.

Location so we do not have to bring the car into the city. The staff always make us feel welcome. We continue to return to this hotel when we have appointments in the city. Highly recommended this hotel.

The room, whilst not particularly large was very comfortable.

Overall both apartments that were booked accomodated the whole family. 6 adults and 2 kids.

The room layout was fantastic. We had a 3 bedroom apartment for 7 people and everyone had plenty of space. The location was perfect for where we wanted to be. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

A great apartment that was well furnished. Was very roomy and felt like home for the few days we were there.

I hated everything I had to go to another apartment with my two little kids and the underground parking was shocking I got so much anxiety trying to drive up there and out, and the staff were not accomodating around this

We had 5 guests we had to ask for towels coffee milk on each day .The room was supposed to be serviced on the Saturday only the beds were made .On the website it states the room is serviced everyday but on complaining we were told it wasn’t serviced on Sundays and public holidays to pay $1432 for our stay one would expect the room to be serviced unfortunately we will not be staying at this property again as it is quite important for us to stay in a clean tidy room .We do frequent Melbourne regularly for both business and leisure .The night staff were very helpful

The staff were incredibly nice and polite!! WOW! Super friendly. I should have given them credit for it though they were the highlight of my stay. I also liked that there was a variety of tea provided complimentary.

Bed was comfy, room was clean and facilities were excellent.

No more than 5 minute walk from OCAT Namba station. If you arrive from KIX, just take the airport shuttle to Namba so no transfer is needed. Walking distance to main shopping area still the neighborhood is quite. Room is spotless clean. Though room size is quite small but it’s fine considering the Japanese standard. We had a pleasant stay. A good value hotel.

Helpful staff- we requested leaving our bags as we arrived quite early but our room was actually ready for us a couple of hours earlier than expected. Very accommodating staff.

The location of this place was great, the size fitted our needs for the 4 of us and the price was really reasonable for the location, size and length of trip. Washing machine and dryer were super handy. Allow you to leave bags before and after check in and out. But would never stay here again

Great place very clean, room small but didn’t matter.Staff nice, facilities great. Fantastic locations but parking not so good during the day and on Saturday night.

Claremont is an up market back packers. We’ve stayed here quite a few times and it is always really clean, that’s a massive tick for me. The staff are accommodating and friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky as it’s on the street around the hotel but you just have to stile it lucky and we usually do.

Comfy bed.Lots of room. Great shower.Lots of toiletries, tea, coffee and milk. Close to station and tram stop. Lively community lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff were great.

Excellent location. Everything you needed whilst away. Lovely views. Would definitely stay again.

The location and site were great. Places to eat near by and direct access to trams. Very spacious! Apartment was neat and tidy. Reception staff accomodating of after hours key pick up and rang ahead to request bed setup for children staying. Harbour views were beautiful at night and the balcony was large with access from each room (3).

Friendly staff and comfortable room. Great breakfast and lovely restaurant in general.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Grand Hyatt and were very impressed with the service and friendliness. I mentioned that we were there to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and on the second evening we were treated to a bottle of sparkling wine and a little cake. We thought that was a lovely touch.

The room was well laid out with comfy bed & nice views. The food too was top class.

Wonderful situation in the city , awesome staff and great value. One of the best world deal . You can get everything you want , not exceptional but very high standard indeed . Beautiful lobby with fireplace , nice room , great view , good facilities . Definitely one of the best place to stay in Melbourne .

Loved the brekkies. Eggs bennys on a whim which was amazing. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and accomodating as well. The location was easily the best part though, could get to everything so easily and an Uber was cheap back to the hotel too.

We asked for late checkout and given a complimentary late checkout for 11.00, then decided to extend to 12.00 and only had to pay $20 extra. Very obliging staff. Fabulously comfortable bed & pillows. Great value for money.

Facilities, staff, location and view from the balcony was excellent. Beyond our expectation.

Whole experience was great other than reported below. A way to make coffee would be ideal and a rack to move suit cases on the entrance stairs. A rack that you can run your suit case up or down. Saves lifting.

I have stayed with Short Stay many times now and absolutely love it. All ways clean, fresh and beds are comfort plus! It was amazing to be upgraded for my birthday weekend and a bottle of wine included!

Kathy did a fabulous job by providing a truly warm welcome (and farewell too!) and great travel/restaurant hints that turned-out to be fabulous indeed. The staff is very friendly too and the breakfast on the terrace just lovely.
