Very good breakfast. Traditional hotel where you sleep on the floor. Good location – Close to Train and underground.

Very comfortable, nice service and friendly staff. Rooms were very spacious and very well equipped. Staff was friendly and tried to help (although they don’t speak English). The hot Japanese bathroom and the restaurant, were you can try the Kyoto cuisine Kaiseki were VERY convenient. Would recommend it for a trip if you do have time and money to spare to get to the sightseeing spots, since it’s a bit far away and you have to either walk 20min or change trains a lot (money).

The place is really nice and the breakfast was good.

部屋が清潔で広かった。ロビーも広く明るくて良かった。大浴場があって良かった。近くの地下鉄の駅までの送迎は助かった。

静かでゆっくり出来た！予定外の当日宿泊でしたが、金額が安く泊まれて子供達も喜んでよかった！浴場があって一気に皆でお風呂が済んでよかった！朝、地下鉄までシャトルがあって雨だったので助かった！

前回は、ベットの部屋だったので、今回は和室の部屋を予約したのですが、隣が中国人の家族で、子供の走り回る音と、廊下に出て大声で話す声、我慢も限界になりフロントに相談したところ、部屋を替えて下さりました。その対応がやさしく、こちらも悪いなぁと思いながら電話をしたんですが、気持ちをわかって下さり、すぐに対応してくれました。あのまま、あの部屋に泊まっていたら、残念な旅行になっていたと思います。お陰で、楽しい京都旅行になりました。ありがとうございました。ちなみに、替えて頂いた部屋は、前回、息子たちと泊まった思い出の部屋でした。

スタッフの皆さんが、とても親切でした。大浴場もあって、お風呂に行くための籠バッグも部屋に用意してありました。私の部屋は和室だったので、すごくまったりできました。

当日予約でコストパフォーマンス抜群です。水曜日泊でしたが駐車場も余裕で空いており、施設はそこそこ。観光レジャーには少し寂しいですが急遽大学生用のマンションを探しにいった身としては満足です。

위치는 중간쯤이라 좋은듯 합니다 직원도 매우 친철합니다 가격대비 좋은 숙소인듯 합니다 주차장도 있어서 좋습니다 편의점과 근처 맛집도 많아 좋습니다 걸어서 10분정도

The location is good, not in the first street at the beach (where there is a lot of traffic/noise) but still only 3 mins to the beach

Really nice location.. close by Gion.. I liked the tatami area in the room,

Location, price, service,cleanliness and almost everything were great. Only note to other travellers is it’s a Buddhist operated hotel and it has a gate closing time at 11pm, please take note ！

The location and environment are both good. It’s located at Gion while you can still enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility in the temple. The highlight is the morning Buddhist ceremony of Chion-in, every customer will be invited to watch this.

Friendly staff, serene environment, excellent location, amazingly affordable.

The location was great and the staff were wonderful

There is nothing I do not like about this place really. The public bath which is always available to the coffee place with a breath-taking view of Chio-in. The frontdesk is helpful and friendly, polite and efficient. The area is super convenient, a short walk to Gion and bus stop in front of Yasaka shrine will bring you to Kyoto station in under 10 minutes. My room had a view of Chio-in and it really warmed my heart every time I opened the window. The bathroom facilities was of the highest quality and they really did not skimp on your needs. Wonderful.

知恩院の法要や写経を体験出来ること朝食が美味しかったとても清潔感があるスタッフの方が、皆さん感じか良かったこと静かな環境

朝食は、最高ではないが、夜の食事はお粗末で、二度は行かない。京料理を堪能できるようにすれば、他には不足が有りません。旅の楽しみの一つは、食事です。

The bedroom was small and the shower almost impossible together in!

Small scale, beautiful and quiet Riad. Perfect host, good breakfast and a very nice bathroom in tadelakt! We had a great 7 night stay.

Rooms are big, bed very comfy, loved the feel of it – high ceilings, felt like the perfect room for an Italian getaway. Staff not the most upbeat/welcoming on arrival however when there was a problem with our aircon they came to try and offer a solution straight away.

Location is central Kettle, tea and coffee are in the room. Nice bathroom Room was very clean Free sauna available but didn’t use. Reception staff were always pleasant and helpful Lift

Near for sightseeing & rail underground 🚇 network was excellent with friendly staff

beautiful rooftop terrace with nice breakfast selection, very friendly and helpful staff.

Almost everything… the location the rooms the stuff the welcoming n the positive energy

Add some come African dishes to your Menu. Some fried rice with grilled or roasted chicken or beef source and some pepper. Room service was excellent, the location of the property is very good. Staff are very professional. Customer service is excellent.

Great location right on the edge of the Gion district and an easy walk to Nishiki Market. We didn’t eat in the downstairs cafe but it looked nice. Lovely decor and ambience about this property.

This hotel is located in quiet street and nearby the metro station with 3 mins walking. The room facilities are excellent especially for the family taking little baby. But the cleanliness was not so well as other hotels which we stayed in JP. Moreover, walking along with the street beside the hotel and crossing the bridge, there are many restaurants to be reached. Friendly owner/ roommate. The Lady running the place is always there and very friendly/helpful. If you want to get in touch with locals and See how japanese people live, this is the place to go! The room is Set Up beautifully traditionelle and is quite big for japanese Standards.

旅馆很新很干净，住的榻榻米感觉很好。旅馆主人友好虽然英文沟通一般但是过程愉快。位置可以虽然晚上回去班车少而且结束早需要步行，但是距离不远。

基本的に食事は無しですが、明朝早く、女将さんがコ―ヒセットを作って下さいました。本当に助かりました。アットホームで寛ぐことが出来ました。又、利用したいと思います！

We loved this hotel! New and clean. Took a little time to adjust to the compact room size, but we didn’t want to leave in the end. Beds were really comfortable!

Staff was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything that in need are all in the room.

Although the check in time was quite late (16:00, normal for Kyoto) we were told we could leave our luggage for arriving early. When we arrived, our room was already ready so we could check in early. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable. It’s a 20 min walk to Kyoto Station or you can take a short walk and take the train one stop to get there. It’s also possible to wash your clothes and dry them in the bathroom – drying facilities are integrated.

Amazing location and comfortable room! I had a great time! Thanks to well written check in instructions, finding the place was very easy. Easy to get from hotel to every major must see places in all Kyoto. Facilities are new and comfortable. I willl definitely come here again!

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff and very comfy beds, super location, quiet and relaxing.

Number one, free breakfast! Number two, complimentary tea and coffee 24/7. Number three, a "lights off be quiet" rule after 11 pm, which is great since sometimes people forget not everyone is awake at 2am like they are! The rooms have great lock functions, the dorm floors have really nice bathrooms, and the front desk personnel are really nice and friendly and helpful. They also have a bike rental service, I believe, as well as lots of personal input on your travel plans if you ask them for it. The hostel itself is situated in a really lovely part of town, down some of the small one way side roads that are so fun in Kyoto, so it is quiet and safe at night, and it’s right near several small cute restaurants and a Pizza Hut. I also saw that there was a whole floor dedicated to the kitchen and shower situations, with a fridge you can access 24/7, but as I did not use these, I can’t say much about them.

Very friendly staff, very clean and well located. Double room – single occupancy – good space and comfortable. The staff is always available to give tips, recommendations and any help you need with good english spoken.

really lovely staff, bonus breakfast (coffee tea, selection of breads and pastries that they don’t even mention on the website, nice big cubicles in the dorms, heaps of showers n toilets so you never wait, good kitchen facilities.

I enjoy staying in this hostel very much. The japanese staff is very kind, but the western staff is kinda very strict. The properties was very clean. I loved the way they provide free breakfast for the guest. It can saving my breakfast budget as well. They also provide free drinking water and tea as complimentary in the lobby. The location quite good. 15-20 minutes walk from Shijo station (Karasuma Line).

Extreme nice and helpful personnel. You can get all infromations you need from them or from images of sightseeing spots or even onsen and how to get there! They also prepared a big folder with informations about good resaurants/aresa to eat!

Apartment is super clean and well equipped. Its so hard to find such apartment in Moscow with modern furnitures and nice interior decoration. Best thing is, a small hypermarket is just in the same block!

Had no coffee. Was served tea. Very clean . Liked the massage chair.

We liked the nature and the onsen! Kuramadera was close to us. Food in japaness style was exelent and we eated it this big glad! Stuff is very polite!

We took the train and were picked up at the station. Small onsen, with pools inside and outside, nice food, nice traditional rooms. Friendly staff.

Nice place, with beautiful onsen. The room was ok. The dinner was good. Outside onsen was nice.

Gorgeous location in lush forest by a river, surrounded by mountains. Great walk up Mt Kurama nearby via lots of shrines. If hot baths are your thing you’ll love the hot springs. Food very traditional Japanese and lovely.

Very nice little town amidst the mountain forest. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The sixteen – course dinner was superb and an exceptional experience.

The staff is extra nice, also had a chance to speak japanese, which is grate for me. The room is clean, has a good view. Onsens are hot and refreshing. Best experience i had while in Japan.

The rotenburo, the kaiseki dinner, the shuttle bus from the train station, and the beautiful peaceful environment. Also, there were only 5 guest rooms which assures a lot of privacy. The toilets and sink areas were all updated. The rooms were 10-mat rooms, a bit tight for three futons.

The Onsen is beautiful and the staff are wonderful!

Location is so good near BTS. Staff (Korean guy) is nice very helpful and friendly

The area could not be better and after traveling the world i rate kyoto the best place in the world The excitment in Gion has to be experienced W Ferguson Australia

The proximity to everything in Gion. The buffet breakfast was fine. The staff tried to be helpful, but when I asked for someone who spoke English, I was often directed to a trainee, who didn’t know the answers to my questions. The staff was efficient in sending our heavy luggage to our next hotel in Osaka, using Kuroneko Yamato.

Beds and crispy white linen very comfortable. Great location. Staff do not speak much English but are very friendly and try to be helpful. Breakfast may not be to western tastes but ok and convenient. Double room small. Twin room a lot more spacious. Bathrooms small but very clean and well equipped. Very expensive for what it is on weekends but ok during the week. Would recommend if looking for a very well located 3-star hotel in Kyoto.

The hotel is right in the heart of the action, close to Yasaka Shrine. The room was small, but very comfortable and clean.

Location is GREAT! Center of Gion (beautiful arcade, a famous spot in Kyoto) so using public transportation is EASY. Staffs are so nice and kind. Room was very clean and cozy. Also, there is the shrine near the hotel. Recommend to go there at night because lights make shrine more beautiful and romantic.

The location was excellent for all the attractions we wanted to see.

The location was wonderful – within easy walking distance of tourist sites, restaurants and public transportation. The room was clean and functional, although on the small side. It was a busy area during the day, but it was quiet in the room. I chose this hotel for the location and was not disappointed. I would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to friends. Aside from the hotel, I would also recommend booking.com. I requested an adjustment to our reservation, and the hotel did it incorrectly. Within minutes, a booking.com agent corrected it and sent me email – I didn’t even need to contact anyone.

Loved the location! A few minutes walk from a tonne of restaurants, shops and bars.

The views from these apartments are fantastic. The staff were very kind and waved the WiFi charges. Paying for WiFi is ridiculous and I have not had to pay at any other hotel for a very long time, when travelling for business, WiFi its essential.
