Location perfect. The rooms are clean and tidy and perfect to just put your head down for the night.

Nothing. I could not enjoy the quality of the hotel because of ridiculous staff members who treated my girlfriend like she was a hooker.

I am not sure if her name is Sophie she’s the one who welcome us when we arrived. She’s very accommodating and approachable, she always smile every time she saw us. Not just sophie but other staff who greet and help us. Aside from that i didn’t expect they grant my request because they are fully book but when we arrived she told me they change our room without extra charge plus the beautiful view of our room. I hope they continue that kind of service.

I loved this place so much that I returned a week later after travelling to Hoi An. The people that run this hotel are very friendly and welcoming. We actually felt like family. Very comfortable beds with great air conditioning. Located on a very quaint street and close to everything you need. Daily housekeeping kept room very clean. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Enjoyed our room with double beds. I like the spot in our balcony too. Breakfast is great. The water pressure is great. Location is very accessible to the shops and the lake. Wifi is fast too. Bed was comfy, furnishings were beautiful. Was a buffet breakfast with the option of getting a cooked omelette which we both got. Had some pastries, vietnamese food, fruit and cereals. Juice was good. Loved that it was 2 minutes walk to The Note Coffee, which was my favourite coffee place in Hanoi as it serves coffee with soymilk, but coffee was also yummy. Location was awesome as it was pretty much across from the lake. Was quiet.

Everything but mainly staff and location. Second time we’ve stayed at The Gondola, 1st time in 2013. We will stay there again on next trip to Hanoi.

I had to go to the pharmacy. I asked its location at the front desk and she insisted on taking me on her motorbike and translated my needs once there. Another day, a breakfast staff member brought me vegetarian spring rolls which she remembered that I ordered the previous afternoon.

The two balconies, one off the bedroom and one off the living area, offered lovely views and a welcome breeze. The apartment was nice and bright given it was on the top floor.

Large room w balcony on old quarter street, pleasant staff. Good simple breakfast.

The receptionists are very nice. The hotel is good located. In total it’s very valuable.

The receptionist Anna (as all the other staff) was the most helpful person we met through Vietnam. She helped us with all bus tickets and everything even after we left Hanoi City Hostel. Friendly, helpful, good english speaking

I am glad that the hotel has a lift. Room is spacious with one single and one double bed, big enough for 3 persons. There is aircon and also a fan in the room. Simple breakfast is provided. The staff are friendly and helpful. We booked bus tickets and tour to Cat Ba Island through the hotel receptionist and found out later that the price charged were much higher than others. Fortunately the receptionist help us to get back some refund after our trip.

Large clean room. Good location. Included breakfast was decent (baguette, eggs and bananas). Good budget option.

even if not brand new good for one night , the hotel manager is friendly

The staff was very helpful and kind. They told us how much a taxi should cost (max 30000 VDN) to get to the water puppet theatre and to be careful. On the way back and taxi driver tried to charge us 190000. The receptionist came out to the taxi driver and sorted things out for us so we only paid 20000. They also arranged a VERY comfortable bus trip to Sappa for us two and two others who weren’t staying at the hostel.

The staff spoke English very well and were very friendly.

Very good location. Friendly staff. Huge room and very clean (they clean it everyday). In addition, I forgot some important stuff in the Hotel and Anna tried to contact me quickly. Unfortunately I was already on the plane but she is going to send it to me. THANK YOU A LOT for your help !

Nothing to be honest. Probably the location was of great as it was right in the center of shopping spree having access to anywhere and the roads in front are not busy at any point of time. Easy accessible.

It has a relaxed feel the moment seeing it, casual cafe-like front, easy to sit around waiting for your companion, furniture with mixed styles. connecting rooms has additional door on the ending of walkway, good as an awning.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance to the lake. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a good variety of food provided for breakfast and the onsite restaurant served delicious dishes.

Superb location! Staff at the reception were very friendly and supportive. Our last minute requests were entertained in a jiffy. Allowed us to store big luggage items for 2 days while we travelled outside Ha Noi. Gave us lot of options in planning our itinerary.

The hotel was excellent very near to the tourist attraction in Hanoi, there’s a cafe infront of the hotel, you can walk around to see the city itself! The room is nice and comfortable like in a high end hotel! Highly recommended!

Staff was nice and helping us with everything. Reception 24 hour was really working.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed a little hard but not so bad, the breakfast was ok. The hotel was closed from everything we needed. The french manager helped us to book tours in Ha Long bay and Sa Pa, which was appreciated.

Staff were polite and friendly and made us a welcome coffee and took our bags up to our room. Bathroom is clean, modern with hot water. Location is great, easy to walk around and find food/shopping malls etc…

Location is good as you need only to walk about 10-15 minutes to the Old Quarter. Good and cheap/expensive food and/or restaurants are available nearby. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included although there are only 2 options. They give us clean towels everyday. Bedsheets and floors are clean. Wifi is strong. Lif works. The air conditioners work but need to be maintained. They offer laundry services. Best to stay for 2/3 max.

Everything was perfect here. Quynh is so sweet & helpful, everything is so clean, the bed is so soft & comfy (a rarity in Hanoi in budget places!) and the neighborhood is so peaceful. It’s hard to believe you’re only a short walk away from the chaos of the old quarter.

Hotel location is excellent, very central, all in walking condition. Staff is wonderful, supporting guests with maps and information. Loved their room with stunning view on the opera.
