This is a really nice place. It was a great experience staying at the hotel. It is located in the forest areas west of Hangzhou city center and close to West Lake, which is a very nice and quite area.

We felt like home at this small family run guesthouse right next to Lingyin temple and a short walk/ride away from West Lake, but still in a very quite tea village. The standards of quality, comfort and cleanliness are, without doubt, 4 stars hotels like. Probably due to the fact that the owner spent 5 years living in France. We were very impressed given our previous experiences in China. They also provide a very good western breakfast. The owner speaks good English and French and gave us very good advice about attractions and restaurants. Overall awesome experience and great value for money. Extremely recommended.

really clean and modern property in a discrete location. Amenities were top quality using bamboo toothbrushes and comb which combined well with its theme inside the hotel. We had the tatami room and there was a little table under the bed we could use! Really thoughtful!

This is place is definitely recommended! We only spent one night there, but the hotel design, services, and position were perfect. It felt like living in a small village, but we were in the middle of a big city! The owner is very kind and made us try traditional Chinese tea when we arrived and before we left! He can speak a very good English and he was helpful with our requests.

特别精致的一家小客栈。虽然来杭州的时候赶上杭州降温，还下了雨。但是在客栈里很暖和，有地暖，屋里一点都不潮湿。特别要说房间被子是蚕丝被，床品特别舒服。洗漱用品很精致。老板很热情。有好茶喝，而且茶具和泡茶方式很讲究。有人情味的客栈

闹中取静，距离灵隐寺很近，去西湖打车也就十几块钱，很方便，小两口老板非常热情，每天都能有茶喝哈哈！下次还会入住！

强烈推荐，周边树木成荫，天然氧吧，好安静的。听着小溪流水声，很惬意。屋内设施齐全，很干净，有禅意，洗澡热水打开马上就有热水，床品也是干干净净的，住的很舒服，一觉到天亮，去游玩的，尤其带孩子和父母的，去这里住非常不错哦！

The hostel is close to the center auf the city. The stuff spoke very good English and are very friendly and helpful, if we asked for tours or even which bus to take. Every room has Wifi and LAN. We had a balcony and the few was nice, because of the green in front. You can wash and dry your cloths for free.

Very close to West Lake .Easy walk to the good tourist sites. Shower is ok. Toilet is ok.initially flooring look gloomy but still ok.

Close to to the lake and Hangzhou train station. If you don’t have heavy luggage, you can walk from the train station(about 2 km). You can also take a metro(1 station) and walk 7 minutes. Nice terrace, where you can sit and rest. In surroundings shops and restaurants – no problem to find something to eat. Helpful staff.

Great location in the city center, but still in a calm area. Restaurants, small shops, and cafées close by. Quite normal hostel standard. (Recommondation of restaurant close by: Walking straight out of the hostel (parking lot), on the opposite side of the road there are some restaurants. At least one bigger, and a couple of small ones on the left. This was one of the small ones. When you walk in the restaurant, on the right hand side they have the cashier, and behind the cashier on the wall you can see the menu with an orange background. Some of the dishes have pictures, I went once with my friends and a second time on my own we chose dishes that had pictures and we all liked it.)

It is very close to the lake, you can easily walk there, and you can get there by bus from Wulinmen, if you take bus from the airport (there are some important bus stops near the hotel). The staff is helpful, even if it is hard to communicate in English. There is a bar right next to it. The room was small but looked okay.

The hostel was great! Good location to get to anywhere around the West Lake very easily. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The shared room was among the best I’ve experienced in China.

Nice to have a bed in China with a fairly normal mattress! Staff were helpful and overall had a pleasant stay. Location to visit the West Lake and surrounding forest area was very convenient. The city centre a little far, but can easily be accessed by bus.

Conveniently located around the West Lake area, has a few bars less than 10 minutes walk and a Traveller’s Bar just 10 seconds around the corner of the hostel. There’s also a small convenient store and bike rental shop just behind! A great location for those wishing to explore the West Lake area during the day and night as everyone walks around at night by the lake to watch an outdoor show. I loved that it is a very preserved location. The staff were extremely friendly and helped whenever possible, they can also order a taxi for you. Some of the staff at the reception speak English which is a plus. Plenty of windows and bright spaces, also a few sofas around making the place cozy.

I love the location! Short walk to west lake, 植物园，岳庙！ I love the Japanese restaurant at 2nd floor. The common room is no longer there, they have converted to Japanese restaurant! The don’t have coffee machine neither. Bus number 28 and 7 will arrive at 曙光公寓， only 5 min walk from hotel. This hotel’S name on GPS should be called 旅行者曙光路。 From airport to this hotel, including toll fee, taxi fare should be below 150¥. Some taxi driver will pretend they don’t know this place, they could possibily drive around for more taxi fare! People knows 曙光公寓very well! Behind hotel, 10 min walking distance, have 3 famous restaurant! Ask the receptionist, they will share with u!

The place is very close to West lake, in a beautiful wooded area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even if communication may not be easy due to language difference; Bus stop close by. It is not located "in town" , which makes it a very quiet place.

Very comfy beds and staff tried their best to help.

We arrived late and left very early so we didn’t really get to sample this hotel. It was perfectly fine, clean, comfortable, with working wifi and staff who tried to help. Neither good nor bad, but it’s an hour or more to the airport by taxi.

Excellent reception, passionate and considerate. I loved the gym with all facilities and a swimming pool. The whole stay was very relaxing!

Good quality hotel. Rooms large and comfortable. Food was fine. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The Sheraton is like the Mona Lisa that someone has painted a mustache on. It has everything one would expect in a luxury hotel; a huge, glittering lobby, efficient staff, spacious room, comfortable king-size bed, iron and ironing board, floor to ceiling mirror directly in front of the toilet (no kidding), shoe horn, flat-screen TV and more. It is only because of the overall excellence that one notices the flaws.

second time that i stayed here – both times no problems – metro station 300 meters away

I read the negative reviews and hesitated to book it, but i didn’t find anything wrong with it. I stayed at the ninth floor, maybe other floors have the problems listed in the negative reviews. My room/floor was impeccable. Staff speaks good English.

Everything were great, location near a subway station.

Decent hotel for the price, although a bit aged. Room towards the back was silent, personnel spoke sufficient English. Good location, 3 minutes walk from the subway which connects the lake and the main train station.
