Lorenzo was lovely and made us feel very welcome. There were some issues with the air conditioning it didn’t work and the room got hot. Also the fridge wasn’t very cold and there was an issues with the light switches. Probably our own fault as Lorenzo did say we could call him any time. Lorenzo was lovely thank you

People who complain about Residenza Castelli should understand that this is NOT a hotel. It’s an "affittacamere", meaning (literally) an establishment with rooms for rent. And, given the price and the incredible location (two blocks from either Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria) a very good one too. The rooms are big and clean, the bed is comfy, the shower is great. You don’t have breakfast included but there’s a coffee/tea pot and a few pastries. The wi fi, TV and AC work very well, and you even have a lift to get you up to the third floor, which is not common at all in downtown Florence.
The location is amazing. Just a minute away from Ponte Vecchio and five minutes from the statue of David. The hotelroom itself was very spacious and the tv was working. The staff is very nice and helpful. There are also free croissants and cakes given every day and there is a water cooler in the hallway.
It is centrally located in the tourist area! Simona is extremely helpful!
The hotel is perfectly located: less than a minute to Ponte Vecchio, mot more than 5-10 minutes to key city attractions. The staff (I collaborated with Simona) is very nice and helpful. Despite the delay of my flights, she welcomed me in the late evening and arranged everything. The room was exactly as shown on the pictures, clean, with all necessary facilities, big wardrobe and lots of hangers – it’s important while you’re in Italy :). Wi-fi was fast, espresso was taste. I really enjoyed my stay.
Perfect experience. Will stay here again in Dublin.
