Host was lovely and friendly, lovely view from the back of the property. Close enough to get around using taxis.
Hosts Bernardette and Dirk were very welcoming and offered useful info and tips for our visit. The property is fabulous and beautifully furnished with amazing views towards Cape Town. Our room had a cute private courtyard, a sumptuous bathroom and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was just right, perfectly cooked! Thank you both so much – can’t praise this property enough and the service we received was exceptional. Just a short car ride away from Camps Bay and Table Mountain.
Amazing manor house, great reception by Bernadette – very helpful – two night stay for business was great with lots of spaces around the house to work as well. great fast fibre. Dirk cooks amazing eggs.. Stunning view off mountains, city and sea.
This is a beautiful old house, filled with history, with a very warm atmosphere.
Original Simon van der Stel home. The closest to knowing what it was like to own a Cape Dutch house in 1660’s but with 2017 facilities like luxury bathrooms. Incredible to sit under the very old oak tree and have the whole Cape basin as your view. Unbeatable. Cozy luxury- one of a kind experience.

This was by far the best place we stayed in South Africa. This was partly because of the beautiful accommodation, fantastic views and lovely home cooked breakfasts, but our experience was also largely thanks to Dirk and Bernadette’s wonderful attention. We felt completely at home and cared for and they both went out of their way to give us advice and help us plan the rest of our stay. Without a doubt we would stay there again and I highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
We stayed in a beautiful room with sloping roof and a big terrace overlooking Capetown. Bernadette and Dirk made us feel so welcomed and at home. Only four rooms in the most wonderful old mansion. If we come back to Capetown we would not want to stay anywhere else!
Dirk and Bernadette are clearly devoted to creating a seamless experience for any one willing to stay closer to the mountains and to Camps Bay. They both provided me with an experience that one feels in a loving home. I hope to see them again
